Our first game with VAR

Sat Feb 08, 2025 6:11 pm

VAR will be used in all FA Cup Fifth Round ties.

I think I'm right in saying that this will be our first competitive game with VAR? We could have done with it in that Premier League game against Chelsea.

It was used in a friendly against Porto 18 months ago but I don't think we've had it in a competitive game before.

I’m sure you are right, Ned

That Chelsea decision possibly cost us our Premier League place! :banghead:

VAR will cause as much controversy as bog standard Refs decisions.

Thanks, I couldn't remember but that rings a bell now.

Seen to remember now that their goalkeeper should have been sent off.
