I agree
Politics in this country are totally shagged, Politicians fuelled by nothing but greed, It'll be interesting to see what turnout we have this time, I haven't a clue at this moment of who I'll vote for.
Tue Mar 23, 2010 11:51 pm
Liberal for me as well, hopefully a hung parliament with the Liberals having a say and being able to rein in either side and get some middle ground.
When any one party has it to easy or is in power for too long, it goes tits up.
Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:00 am
Couldn't give a shit about politics.
All just a bunch of greedy lying bastards.
I'm intending to vote just to use it, not sure who for, but if something else pops up on the day, i'd quite happily give it a miss.
Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:07 am
they all tell you what you want to hear, then say f**k you when elected
Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:16 am
it should be decided by who has the longest pubes.

For a party to be truthful
Wed Mar 24, 2010 7:43 am
For the first time in my long long long life i am not going to vote.
The whole system is corrupt from councils, the assembly, westminster and brussels.
Its like a series of private clubs for overpaid, underworked, greedy people who interfere with private businesses and yet themselves have achieved nothing.
Why do people on here think riddler would make a good politician !!!!!!!!!

I don't disagree with much of what has been posted so I won't repeat my aspirations for immigrations taxes etc
However, my biggest wish is for the Government to do something about youth unemployment which is over 50% for those aged 16-25.
IMO we need more apprenticeships and fewer non-jobs. It is shocking that we have to import plumbers, electricians, hair dressers, nurses, mechanics etc from other countries whilst our own children become the lost generation.
I have been lucky my 2 boys have jobs but I see the despair of their friends who are out of work and see the future as bleak despite still being teenagers.
It has to stop these people will one day be responsible for running the country when we are in our old age. Why should they then care about us if we didn't care about them now?
It is a shocking state of affairs and should be the number one priority of any new Government

with the election coming up fast im suprised no one has approached the riddler about becoming their spin doctor.
any one who is able to rip 10'000 people of one week and then send leaflets to another 6000 inviting them to move forward together has got every qualification to be the next chancellor let alone spin doctor.
can you imagine him working for gordon brown at the moment " this country is self sufficient etc"

i cant see why the government dont go back to the eighties when we had the skill centre's.
with a lack of apprenticeships out there surely it would be better to give youngsters a one year course and then offer them up to big companies at the end of that year.
also anyone who is considered long term unemployed should also be offered a place as well.

The first party that GUARANTEES PR will never be able to hold any position that involves him in charge of any momey.

Close the borders.
The good ship UK is sinking fast, so you dont pile more people into it, even if they are
drowning (Asylum seekers)...
There are plenty of other ships available, USS France, USS Italy, USS Belgium, USS Holland
USS Greece, USS Turkey.
These allegedly drowning people (asylum seekers) swim straight past ALL these ships, through
shark infested waters which makes you wonder if they were really drowning anyway, or are just
intent on HMS Britain cos its free food and drink in the galley and a comfortable free cabin

Annis, I agree with all you have put here . but Lower Tax Rates for everyone should be a priority, encourage people to want to get on in life.

I will never vote Tory or any right wing fascists.
Tory cuts will crucify working/middle class, only today it's come out that theye are intending scrapping Working Tax credit for middle class families.
The fascists are clueless, they still claim that global warming is a conspiracy theory and gay and ethnic minorities are lesser human beings than me ........ they are not. I couldn't look my black and Asian friends in the eye if I voted for them.
The country is in a mess and we will all feel some pain whoever gets in, however, that pain will be better shared out by Labour (although I think the Lib Dems have a pretty good plan too).
Politics is one thing that we can be sure there will be no agreement on within this message board or any other

I certainly don't want to the UK to leave the EU (we can't leave Europe we geographically we are part of it!) The company I work for was saved from closeure by a French company based in Toulouse. Granted our salary package has probably changed for the worse, but our benefits such as helath care and pension provision makes up for it.
Problem for us is that our P&L sufferes not due to increase or decrease in sales rather the fluctuation of the euro to the pound. They could shut us tomorrow and shift everything to france and increase the profitability by 25% instantly, however they know they have a comitted work force that certaintly puts in more hours than the French. Saying that if the UK removed itslef from the EU i'm pretty sure they would shut us, it's easy to say leave the EU especially when you think theres no consequences.

I'll vote Liberal Democrats because they're the only ones who give a shit about the environment and living area by where I live. They're all as bad as each other. Let's be honest lads, hoping for lower taxes is never going to happen. Taxes may stay the same or rise at a lower pace but they'll never reduce.
Labour are supposed to be helping people like me on low incomes but what help do I get? f**k all, oh, unless I get a kid and then split from the mother. That really encourages solid family growth doesn't it! There's no way I'm voting Conservative though.

I'm a bus driver for Cardiff Bus, a lot of the people we carry have concession passes, the ticket machine displays which catergory the person using the card comes under..over 60's..disabled..visually impaired etc, when covering the 9,9a,8 route a lot of Asian, Middle Eastern, Somali looking passengers will use the bus, I would make a guess that about 60%/70% of them use concessionary passes and the majority of those passes read "disabled" on the ticket machine. I may be wrong but a hell of a lot of them appear to be quite able bodied to me. Other drivers have said to me they get the disabled passes because they can't read or write English, if that's the case then this government are much too soft on this type of shit, give them the pass under the condition that they attend English Language lessons ffs. For this reason Labour wil not get my vote this coming election.

God damn political correctness which is destroying the way we live and culture.
Crime
Lowe taxes
Immigration which is destroying our health service as well the way we live.
And im pissed of with political parties and that is all of them with there obsessive rantings on CLIMATE CHANGE which in my opinion is total bullshit and unproven with many Scientists agree with me. Its just a way of money making for a lot of parties (ie companys) and an excuse for the government and local authorities to grab more of your hard earned cash. And then proceed to waste it.

1. Sort crime out - look after the victims before the perpetrators
2. Get rid of speed cameras and be fairer to motorists all round
3. Make the general cost of living cheaper for the average person
4. Make sure MPs find it harder to be as corrupt and greedy as they are now
5. Sort immigration out and if someone wants to come here and bleed our system dry, they're out on their ear
6. Eradicate extremism of all religions
