lance armstrong

Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:18 am

So he's come clean, bit late, ok most were at it at that time, but how strange everyone who was a threat to him winning the TDF were caught, basso, urich, pantani, to name just a few, he's manipulated everything and everyone, he's only coming clean so he can serve a ban and compete again, any sports person who is a cheat should be banned from all sports, including Chopra, what do you think

Re: lance armstrong

Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:26 am

I would say his competitive days are over , he will have life ban . Even if he does compete he will never be trusted

I don't agree with Chopra.he hasn't cheated in the sense that he's done something illegal to enhance his own performance on the sports field.

What he allegedly did was silly, but to put it in the same bracket as Lance Armstrong?

Re: lance armstrong

i would put him in the Louis Suarez and gareth bale camp myself

Re: lance armstrong

He is a cheat of the highest order. A person with no real talent who cheated to beat those who had/have talent.
If he had talent and a work ethic he would not have needed to cheat to win.
Now he will make money from crying on the tele/radio etc.

All his wins should be cancelled and prize money returned, as should those of his team.
He should then be forced to repay all his sponsorship and prosecuted for fraud.

After that he should be ostacised by everyone, and go away to finish his life like the cheating scumbag he is.
His charity work is not an issue, just like Jimmy savile's is not when looking at the person.

Think of the people he beat, who did not cheat, and how they worked hard and earned nothing, before trying to support him.

So what about people who bet every week, sure they wouldn't be to happy that they hard earned cash was being wasted on a race that is fixed, what I am saying is you can't be trusted in any sports, a cheat is a cheat, I used Chopra as a example because more people can relate to him.

Totally different scenarios.

Chopra hasn't cheated to better himself in his sporting world, so why should he be banned from playing football?

If you wanted to use the example of a footballer, use one like Adrian Mutu.

As I said, to put Chopra on the same level as Lance Armstrong is laughable.

If you read it mate, I have not put him on the same level as lance, what I said was any sports person, you have turned a simple post into something that its not,

Any sport that allows him to compete is supporting and encouraging cheats.

They will only want him for the publicity and to earn money from it.

Sponsors and local authorities should ban any event he is going to compete in to show the world that cheats are not tolerated.

So if any footballer takes a dive - he should be banned ( is that not cheating ) :?:

I CAN THINK OF MANY MORE WITH OTHER SPORTS - CHOPS BETS WERE HORSE RACING.

Re: lance armstrong

I think a cheat is a cheat, you can either be trusted or not, and yes if a player is proved to have taken a dive he should serve at least a one match ban, there should be some sort of punishment for any digree of cheating

Not quite,if I wanted to fix a match that included Chops would he resist knowing his predicament if you made it worth his while.Saying a man whos willing to cheat in one sport wouldn't do it in another is a bit nieve.

Banning Chopra from football for laying a horse he knew wasnt "trying"

If people are going to get banned for that then you might as well shut horse racing down NOW.

Acting on inside info is part and parcel of every horse meeting there is. I got a guy in work with me who part owns a race horse and lets us know if its trying or not. Chopras was more guilty of being too greedy and laying a stupid amount.

He will get banned from horse racing, and rightly so, you do the crime you do the time, but to suggest he gets banned from football.

I was under the impression a owner was paid for his horse not to try ( the only horse that could beat the one their Moby was on) if what you say is right I take it back, but less of the whopper if you don't mind. :D

Me personally think, what he was involved in, amounts to organised crime, and should be stipped of all his assets, or atleast most of them, just like they do with organised crime bosses when they are prosecuted under that "r.i.c.o" act. As it is now, with him still being able to rake in millions, I can't see how it would be any kind of deterrent for any up and coming sportsman thinking about cheating his way to the top

He's manipulated every thing he's ever touched, he's got to be punished surely, as you say what message does it send to up and coming sports people.
