"and it's Koi Carp City, Koi Carp City FC! We're the greatest team in football Malaysia has ever seen."
Has a certain ring to it. Koi Carp / Cardiff, nearly the same.

With regards to us playing in red, there is a rugby team called stade francis (sp) their owner pumped millions into them and he picks their kits, some are really floral! They have a rich tradition as a rugby club but none of their fans complain cause his cash has brought them success! Without his dough they would be struggling as we would! Just except the change to red and get on with supporting the club!

We can't have two short players up front because even then we still hoof it up to them. Just get a targetman for f**k sake. Pay the 7m.

carlccfc wrote:City are monitoring Marvin Sordell and John Brayford and despite what may be said in tomorrow's press I fully expect Malky Mackay to get his man eventually where Brayford is concerned. Derby County want £2million for their full back and even though City have not made a formal offer, agents have been talking about what may possibly be offered and what probably would be an amount to get a deal going.
As we have seen before Malky Mackay and his staff will bide their time to bring in the right person to this football club.
Frazier Campbell is a target of Malky Mackay's and despite being knocked back in the loan window I understand that Malky is still keen to do a deal and also Campbell is not against the idea of stepping down a division like he was a couple of months ago.
I will stand by the information I receive and that is Malky Mackay will be bringing in players in this transfer window and one of the players mentioned could be a Bluebird by the weekend.
With regards to Charlie Austin, I am told that Burnley are seeking £7million for their striker and that they are reluctant to sell in this transfer window.
I found this next bit of 'news' quite comical when I heard it, when the re-brand was first introduced Vincent Tan wanted us to play in red at home and away in every fixture this season, when he was told that we can't because other teams play in red at home, Tan was unrelenting in telling his staff he wanted red home and away, there was even a notion of offering money to the other clubs that play in red to line up in their away kit when Cardiff City came to play.
Maybe this shows the lack of understanding on Tan's part of football tradition but it certainly shows the emphasis he has put on the colour red.
On a weekly basis things are changing within the corridors and rooms of the stadium to red, not to slowly but surely we are turning red more and more.
I am aware that our academy coaches have been told that each different development centre will wear different colours next season but none will wear blue. Will that transpire to the first team? I honestly don't know but can only say that the academy players will not be wearing blue at all.
Our academy staff and development coaches met with new Head of Academy Dick Bate last Thursday and they were all left very impressed with the knowledge of the man and the vision that Bate has for the academy.
I spoke with Wayne Nash today and our position as a club has not changed regarding the fixture with Leeds Utd, we as a club want to be treated the same as our contemporaries. We as a club and fans will rightfully oppose any restriction placed on us.
The travel group meeting will take place next Thursday where we will discuss what to do as a club and as a travel group.
Cardiff City football club have moved forwards in leaps and bounds from years gone by, this season there has not been a single arrest at home and there have been just 15 arrested away from home.
Last season there was a total of 37 arrests, home and away.
In terms of the football league I believe that would leave us around the middle of the 92 clubs, it could be better but it used to be a lot worse.
Again this summer there will be work done in the Premier seating lounge and certain work will be done before Tan arrives on February 11th ahead of the Leicester midweek fixture.
I wrote a while ago that Tan wanted to do a deal with Compass for the catering contract, I understand that Compass will not relinquish the contract on present offered terms and will continue to serve at the CCS.
In the last update I wrote that Nicky Maynard will restart training on Monday and he did, I also said that I suspected Maynard could be back as early as March, maybe I shouldn't have put my opinion on a date of a playing return but he is back training before the club expected him to be and that is certainly a good sign.
Approximately 900 tickets have been sold for Blackpool.
I am running a bus to Huddersfield on February 9th and if you wish to book on then follow this link viewtopic.php?f=2&t=102424
