" FORGET ABOUT CARDIFF CITY! "

Another fantastic 3 points on the road and I think we needed the win after dropping 2 points at home last week.

No team who has led the championship with this amount of points have failed to go up. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I thought Tommy Smith was man of the match and his goal was sublime, even if it did have a deflection.

To be 10 points clear of second and third place, I am sure fans of our rivals will be saying to forget about Cardiff and lets go for 2nd place.

The performance today was a battle on an awful pitch but as we all know it is all about the results. :ayatollah:

This team is going up, even without strengthening Malky Mackay is doing a superb job and don't forget he was missing 3 players who probably would have started if fit.

The players can look forward to a break of 2 weeks without a game and recover from any niggles they have.

Superb and I am very happy tonight :D

Gunnar was immense my MOM,but....

Conway what an improvement, Marshall, Taylor kept a future England international quite quiet, Keb defended well, Kimbo is class (still in wrong position),

Fantastic mate. The work ethic is this squad is superb and its the best group of players this club had had in decades. We would never have won that game in the past, and especially after conceding an equaliser. What these negative pricks on the match thread below don't understand or appreciate as they've never kicked a ball themselves in their lives is we played the majority of the game without 3 of our best players. Craig Bellamy and the two rocks at centre back. So so proud of what's happening to us. Amazing

Either Kim or Conway for me were both superb out wide.

surely players should be coming to us rather than us to them.

Kim and Conway both excellent at Brum too. Time for Kim in home games to start so we can take more control.

Kim was amazing tonight, but cant fault the others today.

But special credit to Matt Connolly today, always talking to Nugent, who today came into another difficult game.

Work ethic us different class. One for all and all for one. Superb.

Normally teams make up for lack of quality with work ethic but weve got both.

Buzzing.

Kimbo for me! Then Conway followed by Gunnar. Defence was immense though.

Kim is the best in posession of the ball he hardly loses the ball. Doesnt know our language fully either!!

Re: " FORGET ABOUT CARDIFF CITY! "

long way to go - lets not get carried away - but the dream is alive - we need to sign still - example injuries and bookings will still come like huds tonight and we need to be strong in team every game and thats all 18 that are left but we are not in any cup games so at least we have no distraction there - now for positive thinking blue birds - well done to all the city fans who made an extra effort getting to blackpool this weekend safe journey home :ayatollah:

Gunnar my MOTM worked his arse off! Conway and Taylor were brilliant! Marshall made a few top saves, and the ball from Kim to set Taylor free before that Smith thunderbolt (bar the deflection), brilliant!

The way they defended in packs was a pleasure to watch Steve. We finally have a winning mentality. Mallo is right to say we have to keep our feet on the ground, but what a run we're on. Love it

They can now can enjoy some winter sun in Dubai. :ayatollah:

I think the Away games in the second half of season will be key with more teams looking to restrict us at home.

We have won our last 4 away games. Shows how quickly we sorted our away form after a shocking start to the season :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

9 wins out of 18 and were up ---- leeds - huds - and leicester and were be flying the table in points but i would be happy with 5 pts out of the 9 available and 3 would not be a disaster either ...only would mean gap could be closed a fair bit with next three games - so this is where we really need to prove were ready ....

Re: " FORGET ABOUT CARDIFF CITY! "

Sat Jan 19, 2013 8:21 pm

It was a tough game on a very poor pitch, but fair play both sides tried to play the ball on the ground.

The fitness of our side was superb, we were full of running and especially Conway, his boxing training seems to have built his stamina, he never stopped running.

Great support and a superb team win for the Bluebirds. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Let's be honest, Cardiff are getting promoted this season. There's no way they will blow it, even by Cardiff's standards.

Still, they're at a position right now, where if they don't win the league, this season, in my opinion, would have been a massive failure.

Re: " FORGET ABOUT CARDIFF CITY! "

Sat Jan 19, 2013 8:27 pm

I thought Nugent did well when he came on hardly missed a header and seeing we had neither Hudson or Turner for basically whole of the second half so to keep Ince, Phillips, etc quiet
!
