I do, I always want my country to win even if it's in a sport i'm not particularly a fan of. But of course I would take a Cardiff win over Wales winning in the rugby any day of the week, so i'm happy. :ayatollah:

I hate the egg, so I couldn't be happier tonight

City win

The egg lose - happy days :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The damage that sport did to football in Wales in years gone by (especially the 70's) was immense, so always love it when they lose :ayatollah:

Ireland scored 4 points less than what the jacks took to Sheffield united and Wales scored 12 points less than what the jacks took to Sheffield united.
I will leave you to do the Mathis

I think Carls had too many sherberts. I don't hate rugby, but I didn't watch and I very rarely do. I listened to the Cardiff game on the radio, only knew the egg was being played today due to all the hype around it.

Hence the reason of my post, all the hype and very little mention of us.

Season ticket holder with City but I care Wales lost. I'm a sports fan.

I don't get those who say they're gutted when Wales lose in a sport they hardly follow, I'm only interested in football therefore I only want Wales to do well in that sport, I couldn't give a shit how Wales are doing in other sports. Just because we're Welsh it doesn't mean we've got to show support for Welsh rugby.

I understand your loyalties are with Cardiff and obviously football, but I want all welsh teams to do well except Swansea!! There is room for rugby and football in our country! I don't understand you making this thread if your not bothered?

TBH I made the thread out of sarcasm as I was surprised there was not one already, I don't hate rugby but I have no care for it either. I am not a hypocrite who would celebrate a Welsh rugby win ( even if it was the World Cup ).

The egg didn't take that approach back in the 70's, at least not in the school I went to, where if you supported football, you were belittled by numerous teachers.

I even prefer the Jacks to win than the egg (and that's saying something  )

'I dont get those who say they're gutted when Wales lose in a sport they hardly follow'
possibly because its fun to learn new things about stuff and to get excited about something. Ill give you an example, Jade Jones Welsh Gold medal winner in Taekwondo. Ive never watched the sport before until the final. Now picture the scene me and a few mates in the pub watching this strange sport knowing a Welsh girl could win gold, not understanding how the sport worked or what the rules were. We were frantic trying to figure out how you win. Till a friend shouted shes got to kick her in the face!!! So that was me and mates chanting 'kick her in the face' through the whole match. It was great I enjoyed every moment and a Welsh girl won a gold and to be honest had she lost of would have been gutted.

'Im only interested in football therefore I only want Wales to do well in that sport'
Im going to assume you mean your only interested in how Wales compete in football, thats fine.

'Just because were Welsh it doesnt mean weve got to show support for Welsh rugby'
completely agree, you dont HAVE to do anything you dont want to, but also people can learn to respect those who do follow other sports. Why cant people let others enjoy the sports they want to watch, why is it they feel they have to force there opinions and hate for a sport on others. It takes a lot of effort to hate something, effort that can be better used elsewhere.

My only gripe towards the Egg fans are "70,000+ that's impressive, but where are you during the regional games where the attendances are dire?" Never seen a daffodil head waking through centre when the blues are playing at home .
