Cardiff City Forum

A forum for all things Cardiff City

Superb performance and result

Sat Feb 16, 2013 7:19 pm

But both Cardiff City forums are more concerned with novelty dragons and what songs Bristol City sung about Malaysia. There are even Cardiff fans saying they joined in with some of the Bristol City chants today. The mind boggles. I could f*cking throw up

Any chance of a separate forum for people who just want to talk purely about the football?

What a wacky idea!!!!

Completely agree.

We just won 2-1 in a derby and people concentrate on the stupid chants the Bristol fans did.

Mind you, if you think this is bad, imagine what the same ones are going to be like after the Brighton game with the scarves. They'll be talking for days about it even if we win.

F*cking stupid.

Great game to watch. Enjoyed the singing. Team played very well, so well we even scored for them so they didn't feel left out :D .

100% agree mate and i just posted something similar. These message boards are getting to the point where i wish someone would start one where it is invitation based only so we can separate the wheat from the chaff.
i dont think we will ever be 8 points clear of any league with a game in hand ever again yet all our fans (or at least the majority of message board fans) want to do is whinge about anything and everything.

Re: Superb performance and result

The passing, movement and patience we showed was top notch. I don't want to take anything away from our display but they didn't have anything to offer really - but that is testament to how powerful we were. Outstanding today in what I thought would be a far more tricky game than it turned out. Bring on Brighton. Getting to 70 points in February will be a fantastic target achieved

No chance of that tony scarf mania starts right now.
You would swear by some of the comments that if you don't accept the scarf they won't let you in the ground.

Couldn't agree more - these are the best times for Cardiff fans for 2/3 generations and yet some knuckleheads on here are concerned about chants from Bristol city fans  ( PS next season we will be 2 divisions apart and they will be no nearer getting their new ground!  :malky: :laughing6: :ayatollah: ).

Today we showed just how attack minded and focused we can be when we really
concentrate on getting the Malaysian ou....... oops hang on...

Frazier Cambell is fast as f**k and did anyone notice him refuse to do the
Ayatollah in the direction of Vincen.... oops, I'll try again..

Malky Mackay seems to have got everyone pulling in the same direction... a noose around Vince...

DAMMIT!!!!

AW f**k THE FOOTBALL - LETS CONTINUE THE CONCERTED EFFORT TO GET TAN OUT!!
WE STARTED IT LAST YEAR FOR NO DISCERNABLE REASON, NOW WE'VE GOT ONE, SO LETS
JUST PRAY TO GOD HE DOESNT COMPROMISE ON THE BLUE OR WE'LL HAVE TO MAKE UP
SOMETHING ELSE

A forum...
About football.....

Are you mad?

We couldn't possibly have that!!! Think of all the potential ITK people sharing info :o
And the potential arguments over player performances.
And the ability to have discussions about our club.

Perhaps we should just start from scratch with this site...
A make over/ Refurb if you will.

How about new Red headers with Malaysian symbols dotted around a huge dragon?

Yuk!! I'm anti-anything RED.

But seeing as im doing nothing about it (nor is anyone else) im not going to spend half my
life ignoring the good things about my Club so i can concentrate on slagging
off the feller who saved us from going bust

Taffy, but Red is the colour of our Egg side!
Taffy, but red is the colour of our National side!
Taffy, but red is the colour of our beloved football club!

And most importantly...

It's the colour of my Car!!!!!

How can you not like RED?

Lakey, I was lucky enough to have an invite via Heineken today :D sat behind the dug out and watched a fantastic City performance all that was missing was a couple more goals totally dominated the carrot crunchers. I still hate the red which is my choice but every one of those players give every ounce of energy for Cardiff City and that's good enough for me if/when we go up we will have to have the piss ups to end all piss ups down your pub ;) :ayatollah: :malky:

TALKING OF FOOTBALL.....

Isnt it telling that all three of Campbells goals have come from between the penalty
spot and the six yard box. As much as I love Bellamy, up top, he rarely finds himself
in those positions, because his instincts dont take him there. As a bit of a footballing
afficionado yourself I'm sure you'd agree. Bellamy is a wide man, and out there we
have better shape. First half today was men against boys. Strangely enough we only
seemed to go into our shell after the second goal, we seemed so determined not to
let them back into it that we started sitting back and they managed to get the ball
more than they had all game!!

Agreed mate. Campbell's movement and touch today gives us so much promise that Malky has unearthed another bargain(and the final piece of the jigsaw).

His link up with Tommy and finish for the first goal was sublime. He's a natural in there and his start of his Cardiff City career is very exciting. Bellamy was typical Bellamy today. A nightmare to defend against and doesn't give the clearing defenders a seconds peace. Campbell seemed to over-stretch for a pass a few seconds before coming off. He hobbled about for a short while but hopefully he'll be fine for Tuesday

Agree with you Mate Campbell is the piece of the jigsaw we have been missing since Maynard got injured a striker in the right place at the right time and him and Bellamy linked up well at times and as he gets fitter them two are going to be a nightmare for any opposition back four :old: :malky:

Campbell is fine mate. He ran off the pitch at the end after getting interviewed.

O'Driscoll was saying on CCP that he had to change his formation THREE times to
cope with what we were doing up top. Thats testament to just how much work
we were doing to break them down. We were at them from both flanks, from
down the middle. Very impressed today.

Malky Mackay has definitely evolved as a manager these last four months he has
better players than most teams, but is putting them to better use now too!!!
