I believe we have got a TRANSFER EMBARGO ON OUR CLUB until the Next Court Case in Jan 2010 with the INLAND REVENUE, We cannot buy or sell, or loan players in until this is paid.
I get fed up of being the one with the bad news.

The Football League are monitoring us very closely.
Mon Dec 14, 2009 7:40 pm
as long a the club keep to the payment plan this shouldnt effect us ,we cant sign anyone at moment anyway till jan but didnt pr say that we didnt have one when he spoke at the meeting?
Mon Dec 14, 2009 7:42 pm
If we don't sign anybody in Jan forget promotion!!!., surely the Malaysians will be made aware of this to get this deal done & dusted.

The 'investment' will be used to pay the bill off pronto right? Or am I missing something?

Alex wrote:The 'investment' will be used to pay the bill off pronto right? Or am I missing something?

And the exact figure of the bill is?
Mon Dec 14, 2009 7:59 pm
for f**k say ridsdale sort all this mess out.
Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:02 pm
So why are the Football League watching us so closely if as PR says they have an agreement with the HMRC and everything is amicable and sorted, he made it all sound like an oversight rather than a major concern.

£1m is the amount owed, isn't it?

I did say a couple of weeks ago that would be a probability if you recall and now its apparant why you had no loan signings arrive when clearly you needed them. Something is clearly not adding up at present either regards your takeover. I do hope Ridsdale has not been gulliable and been sold a pup by the Malay interest. A club in crisis and a potential purchaser, would be like fresh meat within a circle of sharks. Ridsdale does have a habit of " believing his own dreams" although Malay Businessmen can be very cute too and blow hot and cold quickly.

We cant buy sell or loan players until Jan anyway.
So the position is still the same, the debt needs paying off.
Mind you, its a bit naughty of Ridsdale to deny this.

Annis, what is the source of this information? Cheers! Actually, not cheers, but you know what I mean!

We could have signed players then mate, no transfer embargo is in place yet or we would have been unable to offload two players out on loan....

Where did this come from? Steve Davies has been saying this for weeks but Ridsdale keeps denying it.

With average gates of 20,630, and third in the league, now is the best time for any potential buyers to invest."
I am confident - unless Feb passes with nothing - then I would worry
Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:28 pm
I cant tell you who saw the paper work today, but to confirm it, if you ring the football league, they will tell you when a winding up order is put on you, you cant trade in the transfer market till it is sorted out.

Exactly. If there were a transfer embargo, I wouldn't be too worried at this point. If the FA are saying hold on you can't pay your HMRC bill and are about to find out how much it is early Jan, then we'll stop you from buying players until you can satisfy us that you have enough money to pay wages, rather than let you buy who you want and later have it turn out you're going bust.
TG is already on board, Hammam has just been sown up, it takes due dilligence to move any further, and it seems to be primed to be moving on immediately. I find it very hard to believe and worry myself that we won't have enough money to make movements in the January, even if we're talking worst case sceanario, we'd just sick to the formula and bank one of our best players in probably Matthews to tide us over for another year.
Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:33 pm
The league can impose a transfer embargo if complaint recieved from player or PFA if they have not recieved wages or bonus and can be in place until paid, sources are saying that bonus has not been paid for 3 months to some of the Cardiff players?

But Annis I wouldn't worry about it too much. If HMRC hasn't been paid and the club is short up for cash, then it's hardly anything we haven't known for weeks or even years. This is the time of the season that they always have bills, in particular an HMRC red bill to pay. They sold Gunter to pay the HMRC 2 years ago. This time Ridsdale has 2 choices on paying it, sell Adam Matthews or get the Mayalsians to start what they always had on the cards....which has been waiting for Hammam to put pen to paper.
City always always need money at Christmas time, that's just the way and resources we have had to learn to live with right now. We pay the bills the only way a club like us in recent years could with such a small turnover figure - sell players. Now quite right of the FA to put an embargo on us to prevent the risk of us going into January, buying players, having an HMRC bill to pay, and then have no money come in. That's not a bad thing at all. It's a good thing. It's not like there is any other option Ridsdale can do to change it, so there is no point in worrying about it. - Especially as it looks pretty confident that the Mayalsians are ready to start delivering on their word.

That could be the underlying issue though, I hope not for you but I have my doubts.
