Pointless and damaging hate must end.

What is it about our history that has created a huge split in our support and created such vitriolic and pointless messages between the boards and individuals posting on them. Isn't it possible to say 'I think you are wrong and here's why' rather than accuse people of being arse lickers and pansies or any other insult that springs to mind?

Our Club is not that big that we can afford to split our fans into squabbling factions and we need to start disagreeing where necessary like grown ups and not spiteful kids. I've seen 'Sniping' as it's called on both boards and it needs to be curbed by Annis on one hand and Mike on the other. If this goes on there will eventually be more conflict and trouble amongst our supporters at matches than support for our team. Is that what everyone wants?

EVERY poster should be respected no matter how well or badly his post is written and a sensible reply given to his comments. I'm not saying that controversial subjects can't be discussed, but only that we should debate these things like friends. I don't believe that we will ever be anything but a little club while we indulge in such sterile and insulting behaviour.

What will our new investors think of us if they read this stuff? This old club has had a belly full of trouble and disappointments. Do we really want to create more while we might be on the threshold of great things?

I think in principle nearly every poster on both boards would agree with you Cal. The trouble is what is posted can often be misinterpreted and clearly people can become upset very quickly.

My suggestion is if you take exception to something which is written then question it via PM. Several times I have had disputes with posters (on here with SaladtheDragon & BigBlueBird) but we have quickly soughted any misunderstandings out via PM rather stick it on the MB for others to get involved with.

Much of what appears on your message board (and on Mike's) turns out to be bollocks, and you know that as well as I do.

It's just the way these things work. People like to think they know more than they do.

I'll be honest, I stopped reading your board after Carl was telling everyone that Ridsdale would be sent packing by the Malaysians and his desk waould be cleared before the Watford game.

That was cobblers, wasn't it?

Carl seems like a decent guy and he gets some things right, but if you trace back his messages over the months he also gets plenty wrong. Just like everyone else who believes they are in the know.

It's the way message boards work, but some of the people on yours do seem to go over the top with so-called inside information which turns out be false.

Steve Davies is a good example of that. He seems a good bloke and I know he's friendly with Borley, but some of the things he's said (mainly on your board) have been totally incorrect - and I know that because I've seen documents which directly contradict things he's said.

Anyway, at the end of the day message boards aren't really that important. It's sad that some people think they are.
