' CARDIFF CITY TRAINING GROUND ? '

Thu May 29, 2014 8:52 pm

I have had a text saying that the training ground at the Vale has not received planning permission, apparently there was something in the Echo today.

Did anyone else see it, is it correct as I have seen nothing online.

Hi Carl, the planning application has not gone before the final planning committee.

They are still co-operating with the Vale of Glamorgan council as they require further clarification on certain bits of information. (This is from what I have heard) In terms of how long this takes; no one is quite sure.

At the moment Cardiff City have provided the following documents:

- Planning Drawings
- Design, Access and Sustainability
- Ecology Report
- Site Notice
- Archaeological Field Evaluation Specification
- Details of ground investigation
- Archaeological Desk-Based Assessment

From what I can gather at the moment, Cardiff need to provide information on the following in order to progress the application: -

- Flood Zone documents
- Surface Water More
- Surface Water Immediate
- Surface Water Less

But I have come across some of the planning designs etc.

I have attached some of them so you can see below.

I know the locals are talking about it spoiling a view but I thought it was near enough on the same site as all the other training developments that are on the hotel site.

There is just a single row of terraced houses in the village or ate the complaints coming from the posh new detached houses that are built in the grounds of the hotel.

But I thought to many a poster on here Vincent Tan wasn't upholding his promises???? can we just use this to reinforce the point that he is and the work is being done on all fronts, its just the usual bureaucratic back log which is holding this up.

NO ONE has questioned VT in this post so why bring it up.

We've got people battering him for things he hasn't done and now we have you fighting his corner in a post where he has not even been mentioned.

that's exactly my point. people have been battering him far too often; accusing him of not doing things he's promised and calling him a liar. This is evidence that he is carrying out his promises and that should be recognised!

Just because he's carrying on with one promise, doesn't mean he's doing them all.

Funnily enough, it's the biggest one of the lot too... The one most people begrudgingly accepted his horrific rebrand for.

Because there were not justifiable ground for banning me.

I've got plenty of points, in fact I've got years of experience of pointing and my fingers are quite good at it. But don't use your middle finger though, that's naughty! But see, here's some pointing :laughing3: can't forget this one either :nono:

And hey, I'm not the best football player in the world but I wouldn't say my dribbling was a mess. Oh, it's Sky+ I use as well, not DVDs.

But, that's doesn't mean he has failed to keep the promise. There's a subtle but very important difference. One is he will not and never intends to and has deliberately mislead the fans, the other means he has of yet has just not fulfilled it yet (which doesn't mean he won't).

Squad investment - check
Training round - being checked
Stadium Expansion - check
Debt to equity - a little more time but being sorted (check)

Yet again, you've failed to realise that he has said himself that he won't be transferring all his debt to equity, which was originally promised.

How many times have we heard that the club will be DEBT FREE WITHIN WEEKS... Yet when he fulfills his "promise" the club will still be around 100 million in debt... Far more than when the man joined the club.

THIS is why people are coming around to see that he isn't the saviour that you paint him to be. Long term, the finances of this club look incredibly bleak.

Lets get back on topic.

where gonna have a first class training facility once it gets the go ahead, and it will. You know we're lucky to have a man like VT who gets things done,i know there's a few doom and gloom merchants who's glass is always half empty and they've reared their heads again in this thread. They just can't help themselves.

Correct Alex, the biggest promise of them all and the most important one and yet some still stick up for him even though he also divided our club and stripped us of our identity. And guess what after all that were a Championship club, with only 14,000 season tickets sold.
