Just boarded the coach for the Journey home,we got a hard earned point tonight.

Not great football,but a good battling display for an away team.

Brighton had the first 20 minutes and opened us up on a few occasions and deserved to score. David Marshall was keeping us in the game until many say it was David Marshalls fault, for just standing there?

What I was very pleased with was when they scored,we attacked them within a minute and Kenwyne Jones looped the ball over their goalie to make it 1-1 and silence the Brighton fans and send the 400 Cardiff fans in to raptures.

We got away with a clear penalty when Whittingham hand balled in the penalty area.


Going in at half time I thought we were fortunate to be drawing.

The second half Brighton once again took the game to us, with David Marshall called upon on at least 4 or 5 times.

Pilkington for me,missed a point blank shot and made it easy for the Brighton goalie.

City started to put a few passes together,but never really threatened Brighton.

Brighton over all though will see it as 2pts lost and City will see it as a good away point.

Us fans were happy at the end to come away with a draw and personally I think it was a good away point.

Russell Slade was there once again and is advising Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon'.

I said I believe we needed 4pts from 6pts and we have got the first point.

Blackpool next and has to be 3pts.

Where is burgstaller? Digkacoi? Le fondre, guerra? Players we signed in the summer and none even made our bench.

We are still carrying whitts in our team... And i still dont believe gunnarsson is good enough...... Could have been 3 or even 4-1 tonight....

Teams have a habit of tuning their fortunes around against us... Lets hope we improve at Blackpool and get a result....

I thought Fabio had a good game, he gets stuck in and makes a lot of important tackles and interceptions and is one of the only ones who us confident enough to run with the ball. I cannot understand how every team we play against are extremely comfortable playing from the back, yet our players can't. It goes straight from Marshall to Jones who nine times out ten will head onto a defender. Then it comes straight back at us through our midfield. We are constantly putting possession back to the other team and pressure back on ourselves. That's why every game has the other team with twice as much possession stats to us

What are your opinions on daehli at the moment? Not exactly pulling up trees is he. Alfie needs to be given a shot somewhere in the team.

Blackpool have been very unlucky not to get a win this season, shit squad and they've all been thrown together but they're putting the performances in. Can't see anything other than a Blackpool win

I feel the present management are still learning and I am not going to have ago at them, I will be interested in how Slade is with his tactics, although I believe he was involved tonight

Usually remain optimistic and I have to credit Young and Gabbs for getting 5 pts from 3 difficult games, 2 being away from home. But we still haven't changed our mindset in attacking, I thought our formation on Saturday would be the start of a winning/productive formula but I'm not too sure?? Still not pleasing on the eye. If anything just praising Blackpool

The reason he's picked is simple. He creates goals. One on Saturday, one last night and un til someone else shows they can match him for assist and goals (2 already I think ?) then he will be in the team.

Someone quite properly corrected me recently to point out Daehli has more assists but then he's onlu scored one league goal in 9 months !

I wouldn't make a strong case to say Whitts is undroppable, I don't think anyone is. but another play needs to provide as regularly as him before it's realistically considered.

We can beat Blackpool if we take the right attitude into it.

What is worth remembering is that, although we fucked up at home to Norwich and Boro, we've actually taken good away points off of a lot of our promotion rivals. These draws away from home are going to help us out big time this season.

A lucky away point, I think everybody agrees. But it;s great to see us actually fighting for the ball again and not pulling out of 50/50 challenges.

The football wasn't great, but as long as the lads try their best, that's all I ever ask.

I think you're right, Daehli was off tonight. I still think he's one of our better players but he certainly wasn't the shining star against Brighton (I think that has to go to Marshall!)

A point is a point, especially away from home, and the boys have got some of the passion back that was severely lacking against Boro and Bournemouth...

Fairly sure myself that Slade has had a hand in events in the last games. The turnaround with focus, direction and determination has been massive, seemingly out of nowhere. I think Slade as amanager with Gabbidon and Young under him, we might go far

As for formation... I'm hoping for a 4-4-1-1 or a simple 4-4-2... but then I've always been an old fashioned bugger.

We have been crying out for stability in team selection, and now we have it. So lets not moan about who is playing. The problem with having a large squad is that you can't put all of your reserves on the bench or pitch for every game.
I understand there are fitness concerns over Digkacoi and Burgstaller, but there are still 36 league games left this season for them to play their part. I also think there will be a role for Le Fondre, especially if we play 2 up front with Jones alongside him.
As for Guerra. He was truly awful and appeared uninterested against Bournemouth last week. Although the team has been poor at times this year, they all appear to have at least been trying, and the poor performances have been down to lack of organisation rather than lack of trying. Last week against Bournemouth, Guerra gave the impression that he didn't want to be there.

Looking forward to a win at Blackpool before the international break.

Bang on the money. The stability is important, as we've all been saying.. let's try and keep the changes to a minimum.
