Really hope this is wrong. Must keep Pilks.

Re: " ANTHONY PILKINGTON LATEST "

Hopefully not true! We need to keep players like pilks. Always gives 100% and he plays positive football. Maybe making way for cotril? I'm sure he's prob one of the higher earners.

Be livid if this is true signing nobody's and getting rid of passionate players who play for the badge

Re: " ANTHONY PILKINGTON LATEST "

Positives: A good pro, good quality at this level, committed and gives his all.

Negatives: High wages, injury prone, lack of pace in wide areas

Re: " ANTHONY PILKINGTON LATEST "

Fri Jul 08, 2016 12:21 pm

strange one but im sure his wage demands have made this happen if true, yes he had a gd season last yr but hes not a striker and hes not a quick winger but i would if given the choice keep him as i think he could play off the striker well

Re: " ANTHONY PILKINGTON LATEST "

It depends what the plan is if there is one. I can see no evidence that this is true but it is of course possible that the money could be better invested which is always a gamble though!

he's no striker and lacks pace for a winger it really depends if we get good money to buy a few replacements

Annis keep the faith  :bluescarf: I believe in Trollope knows who he wants in and out. We may need a little patience but i can see us doing well over the next few seasons :ayatollah:

Do you think Noone could improve under Trollope? Are we still in for a pacey striker?

After success in France maybe we are looking at playing wing-backs?

Ive thought this myself mate. If trollope wants to play with wing backs and go with a 3 5 2/5 3 2 formation i see no place in the team for pilkington

Noone is a really good winger at this level if he is played on the left, is told to beat the rb and puts crosses in. Slade's credo of playing him on the right and cutting in for 18 months resulted in about 3 or 4 goals.
