I doubt PMG will even cough up enough to cover their round in the Director's lounge for the pre and after match drinks, never mind anything else.
That said there is more light than we think, because the Echo today carries a full transcript of the players signed by each team in the Championship.
TBH no-one is setting the world alight and Ipswich for example have only signed Mark Kennedy! Burnley and Middlesbrough seem the only teams to have forked out any kind of cash, but they are both hampered by shit managers.
Looking at it from that perspective I can again see us being very competitive against what's out there and definately finishing in a play-off position.

First eleven, competitive, yes.
Injuries, suspensions, loss of form, we're screwed.

Yes I agree, although maybe Sheffield United have strengthened too, so it will be a big test a week Sunday, and we've lost a few players (one key one) from an already paper thin squad.
But the news that VT is backing us with cash to keep us going helps.
I also notice that the Echo thinks we are getting TV money next month (not October) which will help no end if true.

Which one is the centre forward is it Jarvis?
I agree about Magennis we have thrown away a gem there.
