some posters should have a good look at themselves if they support the right football club here. Cardiff City has never been involved in secterian sh1t unlike the Jacks... that is one of the reasons why a lot of supporters cann identify with Cardiff and follow the Bluebirds (like myself).

Couldn't agree more. Who cares about a team in a different league from us? I notice the same animosity hasn't been directed at Aberdeen for taking an out of contract player from us (Magennis) as has been at Celtic for taking an out of contract player from us. So f*cking what? Let's let this whole Ledley thing lie and concentrate on thwe here and now not live in the past. Imagine what our current players must be thinking with everyone banging on aboutr Ledley still.

I dont agree in booing a minute's silence at all, nor would I boo another nations national anthem (regardless how much I dislike it). for me that's a sign of respect and booing a minute's silence is out of order. but do you honestly think Rangers fans would respect a minute's silence for the victims of Bloody Sunday or the people murdered by the Shankill butchers? do you think us Cardiff fans would respect a minute's silence if a prominent Jack would have passed? imagine if Leighton James would have died, how would a minute of silence turn out in Cardiff?

when I lived in Cardiff I didnt support the red poppey appeal myself, because I experienced the rememberance day not as day of mourning the deads of all wars (that includes civilians or young men from other nations) but more as a glorifying british soldiers day. I am sure it wasnt planned like this but that's how it developed over the years. most folks dont even know what its all about, asked a fella what does it represent and he told me its for those brave british soldiers who lost their lives fighting Hitler...

the history of the red poppy is from tjhe poppy fields where the dead soldiers from WW1 are buried in their hundreds and afterwards the Haig appeal was set up as a charity for injured and ex servicemen and they adopted the red poppy as their symbol as a mark of respect . But since 1914 there have been many wars and conflicts and the tradition of the red poppy and its meaning has been lost but the money still goes toward the Haig fund and the Royal British Legion ................ so in a way its not glorifying the victors of war but helping out all the soldiers who were victims of war and fallen on hard times etc ! I always wear my poppy with pride every November and I served in the Royal Air Force and I tend to ignore the biggots who hide behind a football club , the number of Englishmen who support Celtic and actually sing along with the songs etc shocks and disgusts me !!!!
