But Cardiff do not have the Quality in the squad like Lamouchi, Glen Williams ( Media Wales ) and the Regime kept trying to
Make you all believe. A lot of these players would struggle in League 1 never mind the Championship, but they did give it their best in the first-half.



4-1 Flattered Sheffield as City really did give their all and i have to say what an improvement from the Sunderland game.

But its a defeat and keeps us right down there and its worrying, very



Cardiff did not take their chances in the first-half, they do not have a quality striker and that has been their problem, for nearly 2 years.



DEFENDING BY CARDIFF WAS WORSE THAN AWFUL

We took it to Sheffield, but defending was a total joke



Goal average is not helped by this defeat.

McGuinness, who's otherwise been excellent, doesn't stand up well enough to McAtee, and he glides his way through the defence, into the area to slot home.

Alllsop gets a hand to it, and probably should have done better, to be honest. Poor all round by Cardiff. 1-1

Allsop then makes a great save and 2mins later Joe Ralls misses a sitter, one on one.

We played well for 20 minutes again. We have not got a 90 minute in us.

This squad beside being poor and full of schoolboy errors is also not fit.

This club under this regime have made a right mess of it all and they are going to get the club they deserve be it this season or next.

First 45 we impressed I thought. However always have the fear in our defence. Even when we went 1-0 up you just know we're going to concede.

Defence needs a complete overhaul. And I don't think I have any answers! Ng back to CB, drop McGuiness, Romeo back in?

Positives being, we expected to lose, relegation won't be because we lost away at second in the league.

We looked good at times today. Process those moments. Cut out the mistakes. And get the points in the games we know we can!

Very frustrating performance!! Looking at the stats it would seem a very even game. Suppose that's why they are second, take their chances. Just that little bit of class that we don't have!

If the shot from Wickham that hit the crossbar had been a few inches lower, it may well have been a different story today.

We can't string 5 passes together. Constanly throw the ball from a throw-in with a bounce at speed before it hits any player. Got players who couldn't get in most div 2 teams tbh and a goalkeeper who is dreadful. Mistakes every f*cking week it is schoolboy stuff. We deserve to be where we are the table does not lie but that's down to what's gone on at the club and the freebie squad we got sadly. Eitherway we go again . We have 8 or 9 championship-level players in our whole squad then rely on players who are nowhere near that level.

Sheffield had the same 7 or 8 championship level players on the field with 3 or 4 players who will make it in the premier league. When they bring on a sub they are at least top-end championship and therein lies all our problems. A large squad of L1 & L2 players

Too many mistakes again. And once again awful performances by more than 1 or 2. Surely it’s got to be time for Alnwick to go in goal. Allsopp should have saved their first, and I dare say a better keeper who commands their area cuts out the cross for their second. McGuinness is starting to show signs of exactly why he was initially sent out on loan, costing us goals. Ng I have always thought he was a very poor player until he moved inside to CB, everytime he then moves out to wing back/full back it’s no surprise he has a bad game again. On a last note (because I could carry on moaning about numerous other), surely Lamouchi needs to take the majority of the blame for the previous two games. Today there was no question Simpson needed to come off, but replace him with O’Dowda at centre back is one of the lost moronic substitutions I’ve seen. It was his inability and lack of strength defensively that ultimately led to their equaliser (free kick resulted in their corner).

Played well, who cares. Total disaster of a result which has spoilt our slight goal difference advantage. It was always a guaranteed defeat for me today and its other fixtures that will decide our fate but does anyone seriously think we will survive? I just want this season over now, we're finished as a Championship side.

Still not enough effort for me you got to die for the cause but these players want

We competed well until the hour mark against a team destined for the Premier League next season

This 'free-hit' game won't make or break our season but as Sabri Lamouchi said ahead of the game, we now have five cup finals to determine of destination for next season

We are now level on 'games played' with those around us but they have the opportunity to gain points on us later today

Going to be a 'nervy' afternoon as we wait to see where we finish the day in the table...

Score line flattered then but more importantly really hurts us.
Don’t like blaming individual’s but sometimes gotta tel the truth,when McGuiness was sent out on loan he was seen as a good prospect but always had a critical error or two in him. Unfortunately he’s still the same.
I believe most didn’t expect much from this game but goal advantage could really hurt us.

Cant play a full game decently, McGuiness costing us goals last few games, a few others to blame too.

No one will remember that parts we played well, means fk all anyway still lost 4-1

That analysis is an utter capitulation to be fair. Wintle, Rino, Ng and Simpson all had respectable games. O'Dowda the only possible left footer not to disrupt the team shape that was working well.

We lacked an edge in technical quality but we were put up a great fight until a sloppy back-pass that killed us. McGuinness will learn. Had a good game other than that, battered McBurnie for most of the game in the air.
