I think ( this is my opinion ) that Dalman + ??? have put in a serious cash injection and are heading towards taking over all control.

The Sala thing payment had to be made sometime so its either come from Tan or possibly a loan via Dalman and potential investors. Not sure if Tan has had the money from the sale of his Belgium club as i know there was a problem but if so it makes sense he wants to concentrate on his biggest football investment and has used it here.

Regarding the players i dont think we have paid much out yet. Agree there may be a signing on fee for some but the big outlay will be in the weekly wages which the club seem to be gambling we will recoup in part by a push for the play offs.

Financial Fair Play shouldnt be a problem because the Sala fee was provided for in the accounts 3 years ago and thus wont impact our loss this year.

Yes, a 'sticky' simply gets bumped to the top of the pile (as you witnessed) for ease of reading for the broader membership...

An 'Announcement' is a separate section within this Forum (placed at the top of the Main Page) where on-going information, links, and/or stats are concerned are placed for longer periods (maybe permanently) for ease of viewing and/or reference...

Other sections, such as the Moderators Forum, are for private discussions and/or information between those of us who run or help run the Forum...

I could be a mile off but I’m truly surprised by his loosening of the purse strings so far this summer. I thought it was supposed to be all doom and gloom down the City these days.

Dalman hasn't got that type of money your guessing that dalman has put more in , I've been told by a reliable source that tan has 100% paid the sala fee by increasing his share holding , he also paid it in January as confirmed by dalman coz of the delay from Malaysia he's also paid it now .it doesn't effect ffp coz it was already accounted for .

I will add that in the aftermath of games, for a couple of days, there will always be quite a lot of stickies - particularly when the season starts.

For example, I have removed a few stickies tonight because I'm aware there will be reactions tomorrow night after Porto that will warrant a sticky by being more recent and relevant. Things like comments from Erol Bulut before and after games will also be made stickies rightfully so.

It's good that we've paid the Sala fee and have moved on from the bargain basement of the last two years for sure and I am quietly bullish about this season tbh, as we seem to have recruited to solve the main issue of the last two seasons, namely to start scoring goals.

I've said for a long time I suspected that Dalman is playing the long game and he has now stepped up into the driving seat and VT seems to be happy to be sidelined but only if Dalman delivers PL football so he can sell at he price he (unrealistically) wants.

Dalman is now owed half of what VT is currently owned or possibly now a third after the latest D2E, so that gives him a bit more leverage in being involved in decision making despite being a non executive. Only some of the £30m is his anyway and I'd actually like to know what this has been secured on, i.e. players, stadium, guaranteed future income etc so if anyone knows I'd appreciate the heads up.

We are definitely seeing VTs last roll of the dice and I for one wouldn't mind seeing MD own us with Sam Hammam actually running the football show, if Carlsberg could arrange this I'd appreciate it as it would be our best chance of long term sustainable PL status and finally unite the fans as SH understands the fans and is a true football man.

I think you're taking my attempt to understand as negative. I'm not damning him, just curious. There's a financial elephant in the room, which according to this forum, we were in big trouble a few months back. My post was an attempt to see if we had any other investment, not to abuse whoever is pumping it in.

So £17.5m was introduced into the club
By doing this the share price was reduced. So anyone owning shares had their value reduced.
At the end of the day it was a legal cash investment, this time VT did not turn it into equity, so nothing more owed to him therefor no extra debt. Hope I have explained it ok

From what I can gather it appears it was definitely Tans money that paid Nantes via a huge new share issue

As others have said I’m pretty certain that this won’t affect our ffp because it has already been accounted for in previous years accounts

However, it is pretty obvious that Dalman (and his investors) are taking a bigger and bigger role in the day to day decision making at the club. Hopefully Tan has learnt from his previous mistakes and taking more of a backseat and possibly listening to people when making decisions that affect the football side of the business

However, he ultimately still has the final say on pretty much everything and that’s unlikely to change anytime in the future
