I know this is an ongoing topic, but they are arguably the second biggest club in Yorkshire buy far.

Years and years of misery Joff, but they have remained loyal to their club and that for me means everything.

Sadly that’s totally thanks to the Stadium management, over strict on Cardiff fans, away fans do what they want.

FOREVER BLUE
Its about time the supporters reps and
owners, head of security and stadium management, everbody
had a meeting on how best to create a better atmosphere
without to many rules the stadium is run like labour in wales with mark dripford at the helm telling everybody what you can and cannot do killing all life out of everything
A punch on the nose would me most appropriate for him knock him back into his cabbages and carrots on his little plot not that i am advocating we should do the same with stewards
but give someone a reflective coat and they grow an extra 2 feet tall.
Lets hope the drummer is back sat qpr atmosphere was dire with pockets of fans trying to get something going but not all in unison at least when a drum is sounding it gets everone together.

My impression from a previous post on this subject was that supporters groups actively encouraged the movement of supporters from one of the blocks , and one of the reasons this happened was due to “gestures” by a few fans, hardly a case for moving everyone, when perhaps the supporters “gesturing” should have been acted upon.

That's down to the layout of the stadium and the rules in the stadium unfortunately.
Will say that we totally outsung Leicester apart from when they scored their two goals when their fans were loud. Apparently was the same at Leeds.
To be fair to Wednesday, always great support even though they've had better times.

Sadly I think you will find at the meetings No one says anything to back our fans up.
I see Joff says about the gestures, well away fans do it 24/7.
It’s pathetic to move our fans even further away from each other.
There is NO violence, that for me should be a good start and fans know they will be done if they go overboard.
I just want the stadium bouncing and alive with singing.

Here's the burning question Annis, "Why would any club, want to kill an atmosphere, that adversely hinders Cardiff City ?" Don't Don't they want the team to be successful? If they want the boys to put up the best show, we should all be pulling in the right direction
surely? No point in having a promotion winning side if the fans aren't enjoying their matchday experience. They want the numbers, yet are pushing people away. It's an entertainment business, with elements being taken away seemingly every home game. It's not the theatre yet stadium management want it that way? People will eventually vote with their feet.

They don’t look it like that, I have argued about it with them many times, they want a rugby type of atmosphere.
They don’t like the chanting and the pointing , it’s how they want us to be happy clappers..
Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:06 pm
They're very much mistaken if that's the case, football will never be rugby.
If they're heavy handed with home support, it should be similar in other parts of the ground. Surely a better supported
and performing team is better for everyone. More points, better footfall, pumping atmosphere and ultimately more cashflow. It could go the other way with the loss of many jobs.
Crazy mentality in what after all is an entertainment business. Team needs all the help it can get at home, not have support
taken away. Sometimes I wonder about Cardiff City?! In face, a lot of the time!

I love a great atmosphere but it doesn’t help our cause when the likes of Brum and Worzel fans pelt ours with coins and such like.

Like many others on here I've been away with city to over100 different grounds. Most of the time we are put near the opposition's most vocal fans.the CCS on the other hand the away fans are so far it's like they are in a different ground
Fri Aug 25, 2023 7:48 pm
The decision this season to partially close 117 and increase the FS gap was taken last June and under the pretence it's because we are expecting more away fans this season and need the space. That's pure BS and helping kill the atmosphere and it's again down to the usual suspect who seems hell bent on this.

Just eat hing chelsea v luton there is about a 10/15ft gap between luton and chelsea fans with a line of stewards why do we have this rediclious 50ft gap either side of away fans it is getting more like the egg stadium and all the away seem to stand

Why bring the egg in to it. It's nothing like it. There is zero segregation.
For us... It's piss poor planning and a desire to keep everyone apart. It's not the 80s anymore! Like someone said... Most stadiums we go to their most vocal fans are next to us. Normally dickheads, but it's welcome for the atmosphere!

Personally I think it’s the most ridiculous idea to have a family stand next to an away enclosure. The time Birmingham
Fans attacked it was the perfect time to push hard for the swap of the canton and family ends.

…so that they can attack fans who’d welcome it?

It doesn't help when our side a booed off at half time in first home game cos it isn't going our way

Yeah can’t say I’m looking forward to taking my two boys to the family stand today, all we are going to hear is 2800 sheff weds fans. Why don’t they move the family stand up the red seats so the kids can have a decent view at least? Shove the away fans into the now family stand and let fans who want to sing and create some noise stand in the Ninian. The corner is enough of a gap and most won’t bring that many anyway…..

Nearly 3k fans and not a peep from them until 75 minutes. Very poor support.

I agree. They were really quite until the goal. Very strange for a team like that.
