Erol Bulut injury update:

Aaron Ramsey will be out for a min of three weeks

"We already have a few injured players, like Josh Bowler and Callum O'Dowda. Josh is back running today, but Callum is not yet on the field. The healing with him is going a little bit slowly. I hope Josh will be back for next week, with O'Dowda maybe a little bit longer, perhaps two weeks.

"All the players have to be ready. Now it is time for other players to show themselves, when they get the shirt to be in the first eleven."

RAMSEY IS OUT FOR MIN OF THREE WEEKS

The Opposition's Manager

Matt Taylor was appointed Rotherham manager last October.

He successfully kept them up as they finished six points above the relegation zone.

His previous job was at Exeter where he got them promoted to League One, after finishing 2nd in League Two in 2022.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Jordan Hugill is known to us, having previously played for us on loan. He has two league goals this season, including his goal against Preston last weekend. He scored five league goals last season.

Fred Onyedinma has three goal involvements this season and was part of the Luton team that got promoted last season.

Head To Head

We have won four of our last five competitive games against Rotherham, including both games last season, with the other meeting in that time being a draw.

The last time they beat us in a competitive fixture was a Championship game in September 2015 at their stadium.

Rotherham United: Johansson, Lembikisa, Humphreys, Blackett, Bramall, Rathbone, Tiehi, Clucas, Green, Onyedinma, Hugill

Last Game

Rotherham drew 1-1 at home to Preston last weekend in the league, they were already knocked out of the Carabao Cup so didn't have a game in midweek.

The fitness verdict on Hakeem Odoffin as Rotherham United prepare to take on Cardiff City

INJURY-HIT Rotherham United expect to be without midfielder Hakeem Odoffin until after the next international break.

The 25-year-old is one of a number of players they hope will return to fitness during the fortnight-long lull in Championship action that starts after the trip to Southampton on October 7.

Odoffin's hamstring complaint isn't a serious one but it will cost him his place in the squad for Saturday's clash at Cardiff City and is almost certain to sideline him for next Wednesday's visit of Bristol City and then the Saints encounter.

He missed last weekend's home draw with Preston North End after a minor recurrence of a problem he first suffered at the Stadium of Light last month.

Rotherham boss banned for Cardiff -

Rotherham United manager Matt Taylor will be missing from Rotherham United's dugout tomorrow after picking up his third yellow card of the season during the Millers' 1-1 draw with Preston North End last weekend.

Speaking about the touchline ban, he said: "I've never been banned. It'll be different. I won't be stood on the touchline, I'm not allowed to enter the arena. I'll be in the director's box with the bigwigs, so to speak. But I'll have communication with the bench.

Rotherham boss banned for Cardiff

Rotherham United manager Matt Taylor will be missing from Rotherham United's dugout tomorrow after picking up his third yellow card of the season during the Millers' 1-1 draw with Preston North End last weekend.

Speaking about the touchline ban, he said: "I've never been banned. It'll be different. I won't be stood on the touchline, I'm not allowed to enter the arena. I'll be in the director's box with the bigwigs, so to speak. But I'll have communication with the bench.

"I'll be able to speak to the players before the game, at half time and after the game. I just won't be able to go down to the touchline.

"In a strange way I'm looking forward to seeing us from high up. You'll be able to see the space better and get a better feel from a tactical aspect. But it's about competing and I'll be reminding the players of that before going upstairs."

Cardiff clearly had memorable games against Rotherham last year. They were leading at half time at the New York Stadium before a torrential downpour rendered the match abandoned at half time. The Bluebirds, then under Sabri Lamouchi, went up to Yorkshire again and earnt a precious win which all but secured their Championship status.

Taylor, however, believes the Bluebirds have kicked on again this term. "They are much improved and have a different dynamic," he said. "I went to the game last night against Blackburn Rovers in the cup. It’s sod’s law to an extent that they made 10 changes and it shows the strength of their squad.

Hope I’m wrong but got a bad feeling about this one. We’re running out of flair players due to injuries so might struggle to create anything.

All Cardiff but they can't break this Rotherham defence who are basically playing deep. Patience is required here.

Need to get some balls throught to Tanner on the run, couple times he's made a run and ball goes backwards

Also, we have not crossed any balls to the back post. Going backwards a bit much, get a ball in the box

Cardiff just getting a little sloppy here. Siopis with another bad pass and then Grant's ball to Collins is poor, too, and they concede a throw-in to the Millers.

Seemed as if the crowd were getting a little restless towards the end of the half, last season we would have been losing this.

I agree; a little patience required... :ayatollah:

No real threat from Rotherham so far and this is a game we can win with the Bluebirds going close after some clever play... :ayatollah:

Referee now aware of the Rotherham ploy to fall down clutching their heads at every opportunity...

If you're talking about the Ng incident he did actually give Hugill a back handed smack to the face.
