MY VIEW: TONIGHT CARDIFF HAD THEIR TOUGHEST GAME OF THE SEAS

MY VIEW: TONIGHT CARDIFF HAD THEIR TOUGHEST GAME OF THE SEASON AND WOW THE QUALITY DIFFERENCE SHOWED.

Other than say 10 mins, Cardiff were always 2nd best and Leicester did not need to go up another level.

Cardiff’s poor home form continues and in their last 11 league games home and away Cardiff have only won 3 from 11 games actually relegation form.

But thankfully the middle of the Championship is so close that a couple of wins would still see Cardiff on the verge of 6th place.

Thanks to goalie Alnwick brilliant saves and the woodwork Cardiff did not get hammered.

You can see why Leicester are the runaway leaders and deservedly so, Cardiff gave a battling performance.

FOR ME WHEN RUBIN COLWILL CAME IN HE WAS BY FAR OUR BEST PLAYER.

You spend money and use the parachute money and this what you get, Cardiff had their chances like this for 3 yrs and wasted it, Leicester tonight showed what happens if you invest.

FIRST-HALF: Leicester’s quality was showing from the first min.

18th min: Cardiff City 0-1 Leicester City (Dewsbury-Hall )
Goal. Dewsbury-Hall capitalises on a Joe Ralls mistake.

Cardiff raised their game as all under dogs do and battled well, but Leicester deserved their slim lead.

SECOND-HALF: 55th min GOAL! Cardiff City 0-2 Leicester City (Justin)
Goal. Stunning from Justin.
The ball was half-blocked and Fatawu nips in, in front of the sleeping Josh Bowler, and wins it back. Justin is found 25 yards out and he sends a ballooning shot over Alnwick and into the top corner. Bulut furious with that defending.

59th min: Ralls off, Tanner on.
Bowler off, Colwill on.

65th min: Etete off, Robinson on.

Leicester were just controlling the game.

At one stage I thought Cardiff were going to take a hammering as they hit the post and Alnwick was forced to make a number of fantastic saves.

Leicester are possibly the best side to have ever played in the second tier. They will win the league by March at this rate. Outstanding. Thought we did our best tonight and put on a decent enough performance. Mistakes cost us. Colwill and Tanner looked bright when they came on. Robinson was disappointing. Move on to QPR quickly and the window opening.

Spot on with that.

Toothless!

Doesn’t matter who we’re playing. We never laid a glove on them.

If we don’t get anything at QPR then serious questions will need to be answered.

We've actually won 3 of our last 11 games not 2. We've beaten Sheff Wed, Preston and Millwall in addition to draws against Plymouth and Stoke.

Toothless against a team who have only conceded 17 goals all season. We did our best against an exceptional team. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge when the opposition are better.

We’ve known for nearly 3 yrs that we have needed a decent striker and yes upfront most games we are toothless.

We def need to win at QPR.

My mistake, 3 but that’s still relegation form.

We had a striker, we’ve had a few. Glatzel and Moore but we didn’t play to RG’s strengths. There are other teams below us who have given Leicester much better than us this season. Some of those players tonight (Ralls, Wintle, Robinson, Colwill,) are not good enough for this level. If Bulut stays then he needs serious backing and luck to get the deadwood out.

It showed Cardiff just tonight how far they still have to go before they are really challenging with the big boys in this league.

Who are not wasting their parachute payments.

We could not wait to sell Moore and Glatzel was never played properly.

All this comes from the top, for me I don’t see us improving till the board have totally gone.

Yet others have run Leicester to the wire. We are in decline, but some on here are too afraid to say it.

I even see the play-offs going further away, our only hope at the moment is 6th at best:

Tan is like a spoilt child. He will not sell us, he’ll have to die for us to get anywhere.

We are stuck in this cycle for a while.

Can we stop talking about a top 6 finish.

Really that should have been a 4-0 win for Leicester. That game showed the lack of quality we have all round. Although we started to give it a go at the end, thanks to Leicester stepping down into a lower gear, we really need to have a close look at ourselves and work out a game plan to our strengths. I can't see us doing that until we have got rid of some of this dross we are carrying.

To me Colwill is the only one we should be looking at to build the team around of late. I thought he would be a surprise exit this January but I've changed my mind over the last couple or more games as I believe he needs better players around him. Most of these players we have been playing of late just don't do it for me. Ralls, Wintel, Bowler, Tanner, Robinson I see nothing. Then we have the likes of Sawyers, Rimo, and Adams who we are basically carrying. Replace these lot with half quality players and we could see a big difference coming out of Colwill.

Alnwick, Collins, Goutas, Ng, McGuiness at the back should see us ok for this season but we need to get help for Siopis as he must be knackered by now playing along side Wintle and Ralls. Then of course we need that striker which everyone and his dogs will not argue about.

Nobody has mentioned “top 6”

Putting words into your own head there, mate. I agree with Annis, the whole board need to go before we can go forwards.

Re: MY VIEW: TONIGHT CARDIFF HAD THEIR TOUGHEST GAME OF THE

Didn't lay a glove on them. Yes they are the best team in the league but they won't have an easier 3 points all season.

Gutless display no fight or desire and the manager has to take alot of the blame for it. Team selection was wrong as was the way we approached the game.

Let's let the best team in the league walk to the halfway line and tipy tappy their way around us for 90 minutes. This isn't Man City for f**k sake. Abysmal display imo. Roll on the the transfer window.

Top 6 has been mentioned plenty of times although of late it takes a brave man or woman to mention it now.

As for the board the only good thing about it is the top man has stayed out of any decision making. Dalman has taken over and brought in Bulut with things going well. Now its not gong so well lets see what they do to correct it.

Totally agree.
Not one to jump on the manager but totally negative tactics and made it a training game for them.

Top 6.. that this is even being talked of shows the Manager is sound.

Re: MY VIEW: TONIGHT CARDIFF HAD THEIR TOUGHEST GAME OF THE

This season is about staying clear of relagtion imo, tonight showed how far we have to go. We just dont have the players.

We got a group that do their job and try hard and a group that are shit.

Both goals preventable, Ralls got stiched up and then Bowler let the Leic player got the ball uncontested, he passed it for the goal. Was a great goal, but from my point of view Bowler let him have it.

Only a couple of our players get stuck in Yak, NG and Ralls rest and fannies,

Also, why do we never play the ball into space for our wingers to run on to? Our FBs got the ball, the wingers run to them, then theres 4 opposition players so we got to go back.
