BREAKING: " EROL BULUT SAYS HE COULD RESIGN "

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut says he could leave the Bluebirds, citing his unhappiness with "many things".

Bulut was speaking after his side's 3-1 defeat to Plymouth Argyle where his depleted side were pegged back by the hosts.

The Turkish manager appeared frustrated at his pre-match press conference in midweek, revealing his frustrations over a lack of movement in the transfer market.

And he re-emphasised his disgruntlement on Saturday evening, telling BBC Radio Wales that he is "not happy with many things" and that he has a decision to make over his future if things don't change.


EROL BULUT:

"I am not happy with many things," he told BBC Radio Wales Sport in a bombshell interview.

"So is it about me and I have to decide about myself and the future with the club, I will make a decision about that.

"I have to maybe make a decision for myself on how my future will go with the club, because I came here to change some things in a positive way.

"I don't know (if will continue until the end of the season), I don't know."

"From my side I can tell you that some things have to change," he added. "If not, [it is] not possible to continue like that."

When pressed on what has to change at Cardiff City Stadium, he replied: "Everything."

He then said that he would speak to the Bluebirds hierarchy about how to proceed, with his frustrations over a lack of movement in the transfer market a big factor in his mood.

"I will speak to the board clearly about everything that has to change," he said. "We now have two weeks until the next game and I think from now everything can change.

"I don't know about signings. I spoke about that. We are too late with many things. We tried to change many things, but alone you cannot do nothing.

"So we have to make many changes and if this is not changing, we will have big problems until the end of the season. Everyone knows (we need players), I know it, the board knows it, the fans know it, all of us, we know it.

"We have worked hard to come to this position… until now we've only been three points off the play-offs, but now we cannot speak about the play-offs, now we must speak about different things.

"If we don't get signings? We will have to fight with what we have, but we will have hard weeks and months in front of us."

For me this says the board have not kept to their word and let Erol Bulut down.

Well said Bulut, the board are a bunch of clowns, and now he's realised what he has to work with. I don't blame him if he leaves, as the bullshit from board continues. FAO board, please sell up and leave our club.

He lost the argument after dreadful performances with little fight, making strange changes and not getting the best of what he has. The drop off in performances has been high. Would not be that upset if he went. He should argue from a position of strength.

Tans fault for employing a guy who is at least at this level and not the yes men of previous appointments.

EB is potentially an excellent manager but our current position in the league is a true reflection of the squad …mid table with no depth .

and exspect players to roll up players will go where the money is 95% of the time

I dont blame bulut at all i want he has said makes sense really.
We just dont seem to have any ambition.
We dont want to change or listen to to him to make these changes .
What you have to be able to see is what players or manager will want to come here its run by a man who runs it his way and doesn't trust anyone else .
Problem is his way isnt working so we are stuck in a rut .
Tan has to listen and make these changes or the club will be relegated this or next season the warning signs have been there a long time .
Its not working so give bulut a chance back him make the changes to the structure and running of the club .

He is also questioning his ability to get this group of players to respond so is it better he leaves? You get impression he is frustrated with he players with the transfer system and how it works ...what is obvious is he wants the best for city but needs the tools to do it with otherwise no point being here hence the resign comments. There is time to get players in but can they or do they want to is big question. Overall was a contradictory message but what was needed was players

I will refer to another post I made which is there is something wrong in the dressing room which has affected morale.

We were Sory Kaba and Reading away from L1 last season. We couldn't sort out the lack of quality due to an embargo, it's plain as day this squad is not good enough. Pep or Klopp couldn't do anything with this lot in the championship, it's predominately an L1 squad and probably not a great one there either.

Etette, Collins & Tanner are lucky to be in the EFL let alone the championship. It's not their fault they were gambles, but how many of our peer group would have so many poor players as starters?

I think he walks or he gets a three-year deal. This window isn't going to make us contenders. I think it's about the plan or lack of it and that's what the battle is. Short or long-term vision that's the question!

Let me be clear that I am not calling for Bulut to leave or be sacked. I'd hate to think who the clueless chumps would appoint next.

But.....

The manager needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.

The last few months of performances have been truly appalling and he must take some of the blame for that. Strange formations, inept substitutions and often an inability to motivate a team of players to put in a level of performance that should be the very minimum they put in every game.

He said last week that the players gave Leeds too much respect ..... who's fault is that?

He's not afraid to blame the players individually and collectively for their shortcomings and now he's had a pop at the board.

Now I'm not saying that he's wrong in what he says but he needs to realise that he is far from blameless in the worrying slump in form and performance levels that we've seen over the last few months.

And people think a new manager is going to change things at the club. This says it all tbh.
