Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as Ipsw

Thu Feb 15, 2024 7:38 am

Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as Ipswich crushed Millwall 4-0 at The New Den last night.

Food for thought for the Cardiff City Board tonight who were snail-like in their attempts to snatch the Wales international in last month's window.

I thought it was more to do with costs mate.

Don't think we were slow. I believe we were always in for him with an offer but got outbid and ultimately keiffer never wanted to come.

It was similar to the Bale saga. In my opinion Bale and Keiffer could have ended all the speculation from the fans ( they would have heard what was being said by us fans on these forums) and said they were not coming in the first place.

Well I personally wanted Kieffer Moore from day one.

There were some saying to old lol

He’s a proven Championship Striker.

£2.5mill he was ours, look how he could of been for next season.

No ambition at all at the top.

Re: Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as

And don’t forget Moore was Buluts made target.

And Kieffer Moore wanted to return to Cardiff.
It was out of his hands.

It was cost as we know efl changed financial rules in window..... besides he wasnt for sale only loan and he or Bournemouth chose Ipswich over us its that simple.

Wrong about him not wanting to come to cardiff
but if you have a family and someone Example offers you £1,000 a week in wages and another offers you 3,000 its nota difficult choice
and they are not doing it for charity.
We could have matched ipswich but chose not to instead we went for the striker we have
I am sure we where not that close to breaking ffp rules if we would have loaned moore with a right to buy

This has a been talked about and to late
but i for one would have liked him here for the remainder and to build around for next season.

Re: Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as

Thu Feb 15, 2024 11:42 am

one slight problem… he didn’t want to come here ..
he left us as soon as he could ..
hope there is no love in from the ‘canton’ when ipswich come to town…

Is the cost of loan worth it to city? Roughly 2milion wages and fee...... but doesn't matter how many he scores for them as there is no proof he would do same for us in fact way we play he'll probably wouldn't have scored yet! Will say Bournemouth played a blinder got £2m as loan yet only £2.5m if bought ... they can now sell him and will end up with 2m extra for him.... perhaps city should try it... :o

Sure if u check back on topic. There were plenty saying over the hill shit etc but we won't know what could of would of etc. But 1 thing I'm sure is he has more presence about him than what we got

Bulut couldn’t of said it more clearer that he wanted him. Now we are stuck with a donkey, Bambi on ice and a guy who hasn’t scored in over two years

Re: Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as

We could have done with a striker like keifer moore who can hit the ground running
rather than waiting for a will he won't he score.

Monty
Totally agree with you! But we haven't ... as I've said Bournemouth played a blinder got roughly £2m loan deal on a player worth £2.5m
Now can sell him for £2m+ nice little earner shame city not as clever with their players as they've been

Re: Kieffer Moore scored his third goal in as many games as

Thu Feb 15, 2024 3:18 pm

Monty, moore gets paid by Bournemouth, so on a personal financial matter it wouldn’t matter.I’d be very surprised if his agent hasn’t secured playoff and promotion bonuses.
So the cold facts is he chose Ipswich over city because it benefited him and there is nothing city could have done
Ipswich are almost guaranteed a playoff spot where it was always a bit of a jump to think of us as genuine contender, so the £2 mill for five months work makes more sense for them than us.

Kiffer chose Ipswich

Have we even put in 3 good crosses in the last 3 games?

On Saturday rambo knocked back from byline but 3yrds was to far out for etete to score ! :D

Bulut made it clear today that the decision to join Ipswich rather than come here was made by the player himself.

Hope he gets plenty of abuse in the game in a few weeks time.

I couldn't care less if he plays for Wales as far as I'm concerned he shafted us once when he threw his toys out of the pram when he was here and now he's made it clear that he'd rather go elsewhere than come here so bollocks to him.

If that's the case (not heard/read Bulut's comments yet) then Keiffer did a u-turn...

That being the case, it's best I say nothing after being prepared to have (not exactly welcome) him back for the sake of the team...

I watched the game on Sky.

He had one big chance and scored it, that’s what he’ll do at this level. Not the cleanest header but a goal is a goal.

I actually said when they signed him that it was a no brainer for both Ipswich and Moore. They get a proven scorer at this level and he gets valuable minutes.

Ipswich were on another level to struggling Millwall but I doubt they’ll they’ll quite get top two.

But in the play-offs, Moore’s goalscoring could be what sends them up.

Ned saw the game as well and that was basically all ge did but game was already won when scored! But more interestingly millwall was all over them in 1st 15mins until an Ipswich player sat down for no apparent reason which you normally indicates he's got muscle injury and cant continue
While trainers talked to him without treatment rest players went to touchline after that Ipswich took control and never looked back... very clever time out to regroup.

Agree, noticed when they did that also. Clever move as you say.

Andy Hinchcliffe on commentary said they always struggle in the first 15 mins. That will be their downfall in the final stages of the season I think.

Leeds unlikely to slip up and Leicester going up is a done deal.

Premier club use to do it after about 65mins standing joke... but said before moore signing they wouldn't go up nothing as made me change mind ..... Southampton think will go up via playoffs after Leeds Leicester top 2

True, I think Ferguson invented it (as usual) and Mourinho then did it every week.
