MY VIEW: YES CARDIFF LOOKED GOOD AT TIMES / VERY IN FACT / BUT IF YOU CANT SCORE GOALS IT MEANS NOTHING LIKE PREVIOUS SEASONS.

Mistakes and awful defending Cost Cardiff big time today against Burnley who looked very ordinary.

And guess what we are trying to sell McGuinness / Madness / IF WE SELL NO AMBITION AT ALL:

Two games in Scored 0 Conceded 7

We finished last season awful conceding beyond and we are not continuing it.

AND WE COLLAPSE

This was a test for Bulut as he has planned for a Top 2 or at worse Top 6 finish this season:

Bulut will blame the first goal for our defeat, but the facts are simple, We don’t score goals.

Cardiff played really well in the first-half, but if you can’t score goals it means nothing and for large parts of the game Cardiff were by far the better team.

NONE OF OUR YOUNGER PLAYERS STARTED:
And they are not kids they are 19,20,21,22 and 23 yrs old

Positives are played well again and Burnley looked very ordinary
But same old story season after season we are shit infront of goal and that’s what really matters , a fact.

Today we have created chances, we need that prolific goal scorer

First-Half: 9th min Shocking own goal by Cardiff by Goutas who passed it back straight through Horvath legs for an unbelievable own goal. 0-1
22nd min Cardiff were looking the better team by far, Then Offside. Kanga turned home a rebound, but the flag was up.

31st min: Koleosho got on the end of a loose ball inside the penalty area to smash home and Cardiff’s defence all over the place 0-2

34th min Rubin replaced Ralls

If Cardiff were quality upfront Cardiff would be of been winning the gane, 3 good chances were created.

Ramsey and Kanga booked for fouls.

Second-half: 53rd min Brownhill rushed through 1 v 1 with the goalkeeper to cooly dispatch his second goal of the season, our Horvath waste of time.

67th min Double Sub: Malachi replacing Chambers
Joel Bagan replaced O’Dowda

75th min: Double Sub
Tanner on for Meite , Callum Robinson on for Kaga

BURNLEY 5 CARDIFF CITY 0
H-T 2-0
Crowd
Away Support 1,200 Cardiff fans

For Burnleys second goal ….Goutas did the cardinal sin for a defender …..he went to ground ! Then where the hell was NG …..leaving his man completely free and unmarked !

Where is the first goal, never mind the first win coming from?

Embarrassing today!!!! DOESN'T f*cking MATTER IF WE PLAY SOME LOVLEY STUFF!!! We have conceded 7 in 2 games and have failed to even score a poxy goal. Lose next week and it goes toxic.

Those cunts down West will be laughing their tits off at playing us next!

There’s no defending Bulut today, not good enough, embarrassing

The system isn't working and bulut isn't changing it , it's obvious that the formation is crap .

Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:58 pm

Good first half but mistakes cost us .second half had no answer .Easy win for them made by ourselves.
It has to be much much better and we have to score same old story .
Ramsey playing deep just doesn't work and we need a striker .
I think we will improve best place to do that is at Swansea next week we already need the win

In our last 6 league games we've scored 6 goals and conceded 20. That's shocking stats.

It's not just a goal scorer we need.

Bottom. Worst defeat since 2021. Haven't lost b2b league games in 30 years. Rambo & Ralls injured. Swansea next.

This is fucked up.

Bulut won't change,it is him who needs to be changed.

Re: MY VIEW: YES CARDIFF LOOKED GOOD AT TIMES / VERY IN FACT

Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:00 pm

The be all and end all is new players, we need to spend money we can't just get freebies and loans we need new attackers asap and I want to see the board back the manager as promised.

Let's face it how many actually thought we would win today? Not many but people just love to attack at the nearest opportunity.

The goalkeeper is shocking but it's been called out on this forum no ends of times.

We lost bad but If we spend on some quality it could and should of been the other way!

Talk of top 2 or even 6 was always nonsense. We are no better than last season and suddenly we were going to compete with the top teams in the division? Delusion reigns if anyone thought for a second we even be top half with this manager and squad.

I didn't want him to renew, I know there are a few on here who didn't want him.

He is not up to managing in this league. What's Neil Warnock up to?

Shocking…. Deja Vu,,,, just like a previous manager who got a contract…. This club is just going around in circles,,,, never ending Down circles!!!

No it won't!!!! Not with Bulut in charge!!! He is totally incapable of managing in this division.

Erol ought to have a Bulut in the post after that result. Think his time is up

Cardiff didn't look like scoring, plenty of possession but midfield were very poor no legs, Colwill did nothing when coming on, we offered nothing, need to build there confidence somewhere.

Score line doesn't reflect the match... cannot account for stupid mistakes by players cost us ..... its fo frustrating we play a more attacking game and get done 5 nil which flattered them .... People who say we were crap ect are only looking at Score not way we played... but results count

Totally agree. It doesn't matter what players we bring in, Bulut is the problem, always has been.

Expected to lose today but not humiliation. Any thoughts of us challenging this year are ridiculous. But my worry is our confidence will now be shot to pieces and we are going into a derby next looking utterly hopeless. Lose that and we will, quickly this will unravel into an early season crisis which I don't think Bulut can recover from. He has to get a result next week or predicting it now, he's finished and another relegation scrap begins. It really is depressing.

Not standing up for bulut..... but was it his fault hovarth couldn't control ball or Goutas can't tackle? He actually played a more expansive game it worked in that we had more chances than them more play in final 3rd of pitch ect 1st half ... but no natural scorer in fact didn't need one for o'dowda missed open goal with head.... football as always been same don't score you get punished like today ... that was difference today not the performance

His football is poor, tries to set up to be hard to beat and we usually get beaten convincingly.

Nothing has changed from last season. We are selling our best defender and things will only get worse.

6-0 Swansea next weekend. They’ll start on the front foot and humiliate us.

Re: MY VIEW: YES CARDIFF LOOKED GOOD AT TIMES / VERY IN FACT

I did not expect a win today. The City job is a tough one.

But we got hammered by an ordinary team.

Bulut totally accountable. His Bulutball system is rigid, slow and he stubbornly will not change it. We are predictable and easy for our opponents to line up against us. It has not changed

A manager who is stubborn, lacks variety, does not change things when needed and yet promised to do exactly that is no manager for our club or this division. We can do so much better than Erol Bulut. I have been saying it since halfway through last season maybe earlier than that we have a stubborn manager in our hands. annoyed and angry with him that he has so not altered Bulutball or ditched it altogether. and has not instilled a winning mentality or just getting our teams to have a go. Nothing has changed . He doesn’t know how to

Re: MY VIEW: YES CARDIFF LOOKED GOOD AT TIMES / VERY IN FACT

Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:25 pm

if we sell McGinness we need championship standard players
Bulut has made the same mistake as Ole signing players from an inferior league.
Siopis and Goutus are being found out now,
We probably need a centre back, full back ,midfield and two strikers and replace Grant from last season.
We need a new manager

He didn't set up not to lose oe be hard to beat? in fact the opposite was case 1st half ....we were better team not even you can deny that? Fans wanted more expansive game got it but it failed because keeper decided to play hopscotch with the ball and Goutas well what can you say about that tackle? :o
Was it a 5 nil game no it wasn't we lost because we didn't take chances and made massive errors in defence and not because of way we played

Horvath and Golden Boy Goutas both Bulut signings.

Unless Bulut has brainstorm he will never play 2 strikers and change tactics. Far as I can see the man is super glued to his rigid tactics.

I can see him being out on his ear by end of September unless there's a consistent uplift in results.

Could he have not played CR7 and Kanga together and moved O'Dowda to the wing?!
