Where has the ( we must be patient ) gone ?

Sat Aug 17, 2024 5:18 pm

People can’t wait to throw him under bus
We were all over them first half hr until a f*cking pathetic mistake ,
And we need a replacement for Phillips and a striker , should start coming together once we have this

I was one of those to ask for more patience but I think the patience has run out because Bulut doesn’t seem to have changed a thing.

Same old slow build up, one up top, how long until he sees this isn’t working?

We haven't had a striker for years.

Are you confident that we'll be able to find exactly what we need in the next two weeks?

We've got a replacement for Phillips - his name is Chambers and he's about all we can get for the budget available.

We need a replacement for Goutas - actually we already have a better centre half at the club than Goutas but it seems like we're doing everything we can to sell him.

We need a proper left back. We need to change the goalkeeper. We need to start Robertson next game.

Today only one thing same today was 1 up top in other aspects of the game we were far more attacking than recent games going back to last season but we all know its goals that win games and unfortunately our players feel its better to miss than score and then give opposition helping hand if they can't score! For me ( a minority) all is not gloom doom yet will wait until 30 games before giving up on team not 2 games like some. :o

What if the mistake wasn’t made ?
And then Meite scored instead of hitting cross bar
And we weren’t offside
And we had a decent defender
And Robertson was given a chance
This score line doesn’t show that we were all over them first half

Na I ain’t confident we are getting a striker . This shud of been done long ago ,
Don’t rate chambers , we need mcguinnes , goutas plays better with mcguinnes ,
The keeper needs to be dropped ,
Absolutely need to play Robertson next game
And deffo need a left bak now

I just don't get it people saying nothings changed yet today we were better team (1st half) ? Playing against best team in league .... playing far more attacking game than seen since opening 10 games last season? Created chances played further up pitch and didn't go
Backwards a fraction of the time like previous games only thing same was one up front which we can't seem to do whilst lots teams employ it...

Very true but still not reason for people to make out we played crap were slow ect ect when we were not ...... as its been said 5nil does not reflect on the game unless people only saw result and not the game.... at moment people want us to play more attacking football like today but then get thumped saying nothing as changed? If played crap and won today still wouldn't be happy because Bulut sets up same way! Win win for some.

Unfortunately the game lasts two halfs not just one. No point being "the better team" for one of those halfs if you're losing 2-0 due to mistakes by individuals. Second half was just more of what we've been used to under Bulut as yet again we lose a game by at least two goals.

I didn't want him to be given a new contract in the 1st place but thought maybe if he's backed with a few players his style might change buy it hasn't this negative 1 up top need ls to change we can't judge kanga as he's had no service at all .

Nothing will come together with this managers solitary stubborn tactic and the loneliness of our lone striker that his lack of ideas and game management forces. Who wants to be striker in a system like that. I’m dreading next week. He should never been offered a contract

I've been patient since last November and hoped Bulut had learnt but he clearly hasn't.

As for a replacement for Philips, we have, he's called Calum Chambers.

It’s always ifs and buts with Bulut:

It’s a results game end off

But he also plays dire football

Totally agree with the poster.
We are clearly building with further additions planned. The calls for Erol to be sacked two games into the season are frankly ridiculous.
Let’s just breathe and see where we are after 10 games ffs

This is what I said last week but that second half was a big worry for me.

I always have said he will have learned from last season but today showed he didn’t.

We should have gone into damage limitation at 3-0 but instead he had us leaving huge gaps in defence.

I’m not annoyed because we lost, nobody expected us to get anything today.

It’s the way we lost. I lost belief today that Bulut has learned anything from last season.

He should have been shown the door after the Middlesbrough and Rotherham shambles at the end of last season.

Worcester - for you to state something like this as a measured and patient supporter of Bulut, it must have been quite a chastening experience for you up there today. I can understand witnessing that 2nd half unfold would have a detrimental negative impact on anyone!

Win against the jacks and people will be backing him again.

I don’t want him gone but lose Saturday and against boro and I think he will be

People forgot with tan in charge he’s likely to give it to purse for the foreseeable and things would get even worse then

Sunderland looked relaxation fooder last week and beat us with a couple of strikes on goal. I think Radcliffe summed it up today about us passing it around at the back and unable to clear the ball and just keeping pressure on ourselves when the ball should have been played up to the front players. It's exactly the same as last season, different players same style, that's a management problem.

I really believe we can get a result at Swansea ,
IF bulut picks the right players , Robertson needs to be in the team and the sooner we have ghazi playing the better , but I believe Burnley couldn’t cope with us the first 30 mins , that scoreline has got to be the worst reading of a game of who was dominant, we can’t afford to play around at the back cos we will get caught out , this next game is gonnna be a very big test for bulut as more n more fans r going to turn against him , the keeper needs to be dropped
We need to get behind the team Sunday

Nice one Richy. I agree.
The commentators on the stream I watched said that their Burnley counterparts couldn’t believe we were losing at half time as we were much the better side.
There’s a problem on the left side of defence and we need a striker as you say. Personally I thought Kanga was ok and looked a threat when we attacked - he’ll only get better.
I didn’t watch the last 15 mins so can’t comment but judging by the substitutes made, damage limitation to the squad springs to mind. I do think Ramsey should have come off around 70 mins though.
Not rose tinted specs but it’s not all bad. They’re many people’s tips for champions and for most of the first half they couldn’t get the ball off us.
Let’s just put it down to a bad / freak day at the office and move on.

Didn’t see the game and was firmly in the we shouldn’t give him an extension, but we did and must see out the season at least

The Turkish league is maybe a little more technical but less athletic, so Bulut hasn’t been on the receiving end of these sort of presses. You can slowly play out from the back over there because they let you as they set up in low blocks. Over here teams have cottoned on to gagenpress so pressure you into mistakes.

He adapts or any reputation outside turkey dies

Re: Where has the ( we must be patient ) gone ?

The naivety of the OP. Chambers has replaced Phillips and Kanga is the striker. Anybody else coming in now will be a squad player at best.
It’s not just a question of the 2 league games so far this season - it’s a continuation of last season. We are dire and Bulut is clueless. We can wait 10 games, which sadly we probably will, after which point we’ll likely be rooted to the bottom 3 and any decent manager available will want to avoid us and the new guy coming in will have a hell of a job to keep us in the division.
We can bleat on all day that 2:0 HT was an injustice, but Burnley were patient and knew they would hurt us when it mattered.

We barely create anything and when we do we can’t finish. We leak goals time and time again. Many of our so called better players are injury prone. That sounds like a fomula for relegation to me.

Been a member of this forum for years, but hardly post.
Can't take away the 5-0 scoreline, but it's probably the nest we've played in some time.
Am i worried, Of course i am, 0pts, -7 goals, but i honestly feel we'll be ok. Not going down the doom & gloom route yet, especially after the stats yesterday. We just need a break on the goal scoring front, defence has to start cutting out the silly mistakes & our keeper needs a spell in the dugout, cost us three goals yesterday.
This is just my opinion, keep supporting the guys.

How can you say that he hasn't changed a thing, when we were all over them first half?

Balls being played in behind with Kanga getting onto them, Meite getting in behind also and hitting the post...

Some people on this forum need to ho to specsavers if they really believe that nothing has changed.

We went in 2-0 down at half time with Burnley still coasting in second gear. The style hasn’t changed and you can cling onto that first half all you want. Let’s see what happens when Swansea roll us over next weekend.
