I Still Believe

Thu Aug 22, 2024 2:27 pm

I still believe Bulut is going to get it right and the team are going to get it together and challenge for a top six position :bluescarf: despite all the haters on here towards him. What’s the fixation on crowds all the time! As long as you’re at the match that’s what counts, there might be 30 thousand there, or 3 thousand- but I’m still there. I’m not a millionaire telling people they should be doing this, should be doing that, for the sake of the club, but just a loyal Bluebird supporting my team for 48 years from the Valleys. :bluebird:

I don't unless he brings in strikers .

Re: I Still Believe

Kanga might come good and surprise everyone, he's looked OK so far but at the end of the day it's goals we need.

We aren't getting anywhere near top 6 if we can't score.

Re: I Still Believe

Needed to nail that striker/forward role,
And get quality in.
Also, game variation in in play.

A blunt the instrument otherwise.

He actually flicked the ball on last weekend with his head. Can't remember who overlapped and run on to it but it was a joy to behold. We've not seen a successful headed flick on since Moore.

Reckon he'll come good for us!

2 games & everyone is writing off the new guy, no wonder no strikers want to come here, I wouldn't either.

All this talk about how easy it is to get a striker if only we'd spend more money on one is ridiculous, they have to want to come here no matter how much we spend or don't spend and I just can't see why they would even consider it.

Kenneth zahore headed a few flick on's but it was usually into the crowd worse header of the ball i have ever seen
laughable almost.

What strikers do? I don't see them lining up, do you?

Do you think we're spoiled for choice or have been turned down by anyone we've approached? Which is more likely at the moment ?

Seriously.

So my question to you is this ,how long will you give him to turn this around before you admit that he just isn't the person for the job?

I'll judge it after 10 games

I now you're a Bulut fan too and also admire your loyalty. I can understand giving a new manager 10 -12 games but Bulut has been in charge for over 50 games and he still doesn't look like he can turn it around.

Having my doubts.

If he loses on Sunday, will be difficult to come back from.

Re: I Still Believe

Thu Aug 22, 2024 9:14 pm

As frustrated with Bulut as anyone.

A long line of nearly good managers....

But, have to give him 10 games, massive injuries issues and the decision delay in keeping him has impacted on early planning and club perception by agents of talents.

Before that we had embargoes etc and through it all, need to balance books etc

Wierdly, Sunday is not a must win for me. Slow start was expected.
The must win was Bristol Rovers, to give us something in August.. ..
Our season starts on or distribution after game 5 for me....

Why throw away the first 5 games. We could well be bottom of the league by then, 15 points off the top two.

Re: I Still Believe

Fifty plus games in charge, lucky to have them in my opinion. I do not believe , haven’t for a very long time, I had concerns very early on in his tenure.

And I agree getting good strikers is bloody hard in any division including EPL, but whoever comes here no matter how good they are will be an isolated vessel in the Bulutball system he refuses to change or vary. I hope he gets a win against the jerks I will be elated, but it will need much more than that to convert me

He hasn't been in charge of our new recruits for 50 games. Arguably, our best new recruits haven't set foot on the turf yet.

As a seasoned City fan you must realise that it takes time to gel. Do what Annis does and judge the season, and Bulut for that matter, after 12 games. It's only then we will have an idea of where we really are. :bluebird:

You have a fair point Mike.

Its not his first season, but it is his first season with a team which he is bringing in.

When we have all players fit, if the results don't get better then I'll be changing my mind about Bulut.

10 games should see our signings playing, and give me an idea of where we are

Re: I Still Believe

I believe its too early to judge Bulut but the fixture list was not kind to us and we have suffered injuries in key areas. I think it would be fair to allow him another eight games at least.

Re: I Still Believe

Fri Aug 23, 2024 5:28 pm

Ultimately, we are two games in, and we've played decently well in both games despite the results, it would be silly to not back Bulut for now, he's been given the players, now he needs to get results. Its a long season at the end of the day :ayatollah:

I agree with you. The makings of a good team, I think it will just take time to click, and we have to be patient and not pull the trigger and sack him, otherwise we are back to square one!

I am not s Bulut hater I just don't rate him , it doesn't t mean I hate him.
