It is exactly the banana skin we don't need.

We beat Plymouth and Portsmouth.

Riza can’t beat good teams

It’s perfect for him.

Agreed. We need a reality check. We are a very poor team and have no expectation to beat anyone including QPR. That said Riza has to see this as must win not must lose.

Re: “ The Good News “

If we play as we did last 3 games we will not win qpr are there for taking but it’s one I wouldn’t put it pass us to lose I’ve lost faith in Riza his tactics don’t make any sense well over his head!!

Re: “ The Good News “

Interesting to see Hull in the bottom 3. Was only a short while ago they were being hailed as a model club spending right etc. what’s happened there?

I don’t understand our fans even Pep would struggle to win against good teams with 1 strike Robinson . Talk about deluded!

That our point today takes us out of the relegation zone.

It’s that simple.

You focus on the losses every time as if you’re waiting to pounce on it.

Last 10 games we are in top half of form table.

Before the last 3 we were top of form table.

Fickle.

You have said this in another thread today....

Roath_Blue wrote:Doesn’t matter who’s in charge, we aren’t good enough really.

Riza is getting a lot of stick, but let’s face it, we are poor.

Those who say we are good enough for top 6, really? Based on what?

Are we poor, or should we be following the form table?

Re: “ The Good News “

Sat Nov 23, 2024 6:18 pm

That’s two different things.

We are poor, we aren’t a top 6 side.

My point being that the ‘interim’ manager has had three bad games (in which he STILL managed better results than Bulut) and fans have turned on him with quite frankly some comments which are unsubstantiated.

I dont disagree with any of that, but if Bulut is the yard stick, then we're fucked.

I'm torn either way. And I agree with the other post that a manager may have little-to-no impact with this squad. January is fast approaching though, I'd like someone who knows how to spend in charge at that point.

I agree.

What we need is someone who has not only the ability to change tactics and play good football, but someone who has been there and done it with a good understanding of transfer targets, and an idea of who can improve the squad (not hard at this point)

That’s why myself and a lot of fans want a Director of Football. Someone who knows what a striker is ? Tan has lost millions by not having a DOF , since he invested. Always amazed me how Tan makes his money - when he make so many basic mistakes at managing a club .

How can you be certain though that the things you have posted about Riza being in the job still because he was a ‘lick arse’ are true?

In fairness, you’re normally a bit more considered on not judging in just a couple of games.

The last three have been poor but previous to that that were playing excellent football and getting points. So overall Riza has done a very good job in turning it around.

That said, I think Riza has limitations but if the plan is for him to keep us going until January and then Bilic comes in I will be more than happy.

I do hope that the Bilic thing is not just on-line gossip but whatever happens Riza in charge actually got me up off my seat for the first time in 2/3 seasons.

He wants to play the right way and when it comes off it’s as good as any football I’ve seen at home for years. But he’s still learning, particularly when it comes to “in game” decisions and for that reason I’d rather have an experienced/proven manager in charge.

But as your saying like myself, his inexperience is his down fall and we can’t afford that.
