BREAKING: LEICESTER CITY SACK STEVE COOPER

Sun Nov 24, 2024 3:57 pm

Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Assistant Manager Alan Tate and First Team Coach and Analyst Steve Rands have also left the Club. Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the Club and with our best wishes for the future.

Men’s First Team training will be overseen by First Team Coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the Club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible.

Harsh. I don’t know what clubs expect in the premier league. Ridiculous.

He had a hard job, spending no money basically same squad as in the championship

I reckon that's him done in the premier league. Yes, daft expectation but he hasn't set the world alight. A modern day Warnock?

Without a doubt, i'd love him year on a stupidly long contract as we need to build as a club and squad

I agree with you three guys above…

A bloody good manager who would be very welcomed here right now; so long as any deal didn’t include the Muppet ‘Beaker:ayatollah:

Absolutely, would love him here but can't see that happening.

They won't find much better than Cooper, harsh.

100% would love to see him at Cardiff
Knows the club & fanbase
Works well with the youngsters
Experienced at Championship level & knows how to get to the Prem
Had a lot of respect from Forest

Yeah. Don’t want that tw*t anywhere near our club. Not that he’d want to either to be fair to him

100% no brainer he would be my first choice. Could it be who we have been waiting on all this time?

I would take Cooper in a heartbeat for us, although if Bilic is coming that's ok. It is now time for our board to make a move.

Re: BREAKING: LEICESTER CITY SACK STEVE COOPER

I don't think we've been waiting on Cooper to get sacked but the idiots running the show must now see that there are some quality managers currently out of work 'Mark Robins, Slaven Bilic, Steve Cooper' to name a few.

They need to act fast otherwise we could be in a world of hurt come mid January.

Would be my first choice even over Bilic.

As long as we don’t have Tate here.

So the question is, would you say no to Cooper if he wanted to bring Tate?

It’s a tough one to answer.

Personally I don’t think Tate would want to be here, so I don’t think it’ll be a choice that anyone would have to make.

I know that question wasn’t to me, but if I can jump in and say my answer would be 100% yes to no Tate

Totally agree, Tate wouldn't come, just wonder if Cooper would turn the job down if he could not have Tate. They have been together through all Coopers management roles (apart from the England jobs)

Maybe Tate’s the problem…? ;) :ayatollah:

Ar some point perhaps Tate thinks he can step up? Fergie went through loads of assistants

Cooper - Tate is a perfect scenario.

If he could work with Riza, teach Riza how to change up tactics, etc, think it would be a good pairing.

I don’t think he’d come to us though, City fan or not.

He’s proven as a top manager in this league, can’t see him wanting a relegation scrap

I don’t care who Cooper brings if it means we get him….
He’s good enough to know what he needs to get the job done

He is not the same manager, since he left Forest.

Cooper only without Tate

Would love Cooper here, can’t see him coming though.

Maybe a good few years ago when we was a decent team, but not the mess we are in now.

Laughable thinking steve cooper would come to cardiff with all our background crap restrictions lack of investment we are a complete mess as a club the owner is not interested the board are the same.
