Four nil! No chance. Heart says 2 v 1 but head says 1 v 1. It will not be a roll over at all .

They will be super up for this game.

We are playing poor, and even when we aren’t, anyone can beat anyone in this league.

We are at home though and we SHOULD win this,

I’d like to know what’s up with Chambers as we are missing him.

I’d also start Willock, if we are playing COD at left back. He will have a point to prove.

2-1 City.

I’d be tempted to put out a front line of O’Dowda, Reindorf, Robbo and Tanner, to catch them off guard and run them ragged. No pressure game for Reindorf, so to speak. With Ruben and Robertson as playmakers behind them I think we could see a lively game. Tanner and O’Dowda are also good at helping out defensively.

Cardiff City square off against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday evening with the opportunity to move clear of the relegation zone.

However, at a time when the Bluebirds sit in 21st position in the Championship table, they hold just a five-point advantage over their bottom-placed opponents.

Omer Riza would have realistically not envisaged being in charge of Cardiff for this amount of time, particularly on an interim basis.

With 15 points coming from his 10 games, the Bluebirds hierarchy have a decision to make, the process not helped by Cardiff accumulating just one point from the most recent three fixtures.

Nevertheless, after defeats to Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers, the Welsh side secured a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday that kept the club outside of the bottom three.

Given their dismal away record, Riza viewed the share of the spoils as a positive result, yet it keeps the stakes high when they play at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff had previously held a four-match winning streak on familiar territory before they were outplayed by an inconsistent Blackburn outfit before the international break.

Re: TEAM NEWS: " CARDIFF CITY v QPR " MATCH THREAD

Meanwhile, Marti Cifuentes knows that he is on borrowed time at QPR with his side currently on a 12-match run without success.

Fortunately for the Spaniard, draws against Coventry City, Burnley, Sunderland and Stoke City have largely been viewed as bonus results, particularly versus the former three sides.

QPR also came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Stoke at the weekend, keeping within six points of 17th place courtesy of none of the teams immediately above them winning on Friday or Saturday.

Although QPR have failed to score in each of their last four away league fixtures, they are also yet to concede more than twice in any of their seven such fixtures during 2024-25.

The extra day of recovery could encourage Riza to select an unchanged side from the one that started the stalemate at Hillsborough.

Even if Calum Chambers is passed fit having missed that fixture, the defender may have to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench.

Aaron Ramsey and Kion Etete remain on the injury list, as does Ryotaro Tsunoda who is yet to make an appearance all season after hamstring surgery earlier in the year.

Kenneth Paal is an option to return at left-back for QPR having returned from injury versus Stoke, the same applying to Morgan Fox.

Alfie Lloyd may also be considered for a recall in attack, but the likes of Jake Clarke-Salter and Ilias Chair are sidelined through injury.

Alnwick
Ng goutas daland Collins
Robertson ralls
Tanner o dowda
Willock colwill

That’s what I’d go with tomorrow. Must win. Need to attack. We have Collins and bagan on the bench when o dowda is much better going forward. Robinson is too hit & miss. Kanga & meite wouldn’t get in my amateur parks team.

Cardiff's form on the road has been woeful this season, failing to win any game away from home. Conversely, they have won four of their last five at home and it has become a source of strength for the Bluebirds.

OMER RIZA:

“It’s always your last game that people remember.”

“We lost 3-1 to Blackburn and it wasn’t a great game, but we have been good at home and we want to take that into the next game. We want to be dominant in possession and enjoy the ball. I’m sure we’ll get back to that tomorrow.”

“When you produce moments like (the late win over Norwich City), it gets the fans off their seats. I’ve said it since day one, I want to excite the fans and for them to be supporting the boys no matter what. They’re our supporters, they love the club and they’ve been fantastic. We need to give them something to shout about.”

QPR continue their hunt for a second win of the season as they face Cardiff City in the Championship on Wednesday night.
QPR are winless in 12 Championship games coming into their midweek clash with Cardiff City.

16 games into the 2024/25 campaign, the R’s sole win to date came against Luton Town in September. It’s been a real struggle for form since with a poor record in front of goal contributing heavily to their dismal start.

At the weekend, the Hoops claimed a respectable draw against Stoke City. However, they missed a huge chance to claim a big win with Zan Celar firing wide from the spot as the game ended 0-0.

It means QPR come into the Cardiff City game bottom of the table, but the Bluebirds are winless in three and in relegation contention themselves.

Omer Riza remains in charge on a caretaker basis and the managerial uncertainty in South Wales looks to be impacting performances on the pitch.

QPR team news -

QPR are still feeling the affects of a big injury crisis but they were able to welcome back some sidelined players when they faced Stoke City at the weekend. It seems a largely similar squad will be available for the trip to South Wales too.

The big absences are Karamoko Dembele and Ilias Chair. It was recently confirmed the former is expected to be out until February while the latter could be back in early December.

Michael Frey and Jake Clarke-Salter are on similar recovery paths to Chair but Jack Colback could be back before them, potentially as early as this week.

Liam Morrison, Harrison Ahsby, Joe Walsh, Kenneth Paal and Morgan Fox were all involved at the weekend after their recent spells on the sidelines.

Results went in our favour last night with Coventry, Hull, Plymouth and Oxford ( :laughing6: ) all losing. A win puts us up a few notches, with another team close to us on Saturday.

2 wins in 4 days would change the outlook!

Early save from Alnwick, within 15 seconds, to be precise. Smyth with a shot from a tight angle, but it's right at the keeper.

O'Dowda sticks a decent cross to the back post and it finds Tanner, who heads it against Ashby for a City corner.
