MY VIEW: TONIGHT CARDIFF WERE BROUGHT BACK DOWN TO REALITY AS RIZA MADE 5 CHANGES? AND WAS BACK TO PLAYING POOR FOOTBALL / BUT NEW STRIKER SALECH SAVED THE DAY .

Omer Riza made 5 changes from the Derby Win???

Most of the first half Cardiff were awful, back to the dire Cardiff under Riza, Cardiff came out the 2nd vastly improved and deserved to come back and make it 2-2.


Good news most of the club’s beneath Cardiff lost tonight, but Pompey havens game in hand.


But fair play Cardiff came back from 2-0 down to snatch a draw in the 97th minute.

THE FIGHTING SPIRIT TO COME BACK IS WHATS MADE ME HAPPY.


I will take that point after an awful first-half.




Millwall had Won 1 game in their last 12 League games.




Cardiff were on a great little run undefeated in 6 games while Millwall were sliding down the table fast with just 2 Wins from their last 13 games including 7 defeats.

86th min: Jensen palms away a Salech header

Cardiff finally went for it, SALECH made it 2-2 97th min.

Yep but we knew this along time ago. The pitch was shit tonight looked really hard in places and bobbled alot although that's no excuses the bottom line is in my opinion we don't have the cover if we have forced changes as riza said he had a few forced on him due to knocks. A points a point. Let's hope we get a few more in sooner rather than the usual end of the window because we got games coming up untill then and need points fast to climb away or we will be down there till the death games in my opinion should we not get another two or three in I think and we can't be signing unfit not ready players we have done droves of that shit

Definitely lacking quality. Massive point but we were poor final third.

The starting 11was a poor team selection imo. We managed to get a much needed point, but that was hard work. Riza still worries me, although he has to have credit for recent improvements. Please stop playing Meite, he's terrible imo.

Must sign before transfer deadline

Sure riza had his reasons for changes but they wasn't reason we were poor the whole team lacked effort and full of mistakes throughout game.... whilst we had all the possession 2nd half we did not look as if would score 2 best chances to salech 1st should have scored 2nd showed calmness in front goal something that a striker needs especially at end of game! blaming anyone for performance is wrong as nobody played well generally.... Good result in end despite poor display.

I believe and stand by it, Riza is not experienced enough.

The squad isn't deep on quality. It's clear we need to drop the inverted forwards as Salech looks like a proper center forward, just feed him.

I can't believe Riza gets so criticised for tonight. Given how much energy we spent on beating the Jacks it was not a surprise to me we were flat. Robertson, Tanner, O'Dowda were not fit. Ashford was awful when he came on so also clearly spent. He had to rotate the squad and we ground out a point away from hone after being 2 nil down. His subs made the difference. Proper whiners on this forum.

Agree with all of the above replies about lack of squad depth.

Question: Would you leave Ramsey out of the 25 man squad for the rest of the season and bring Wintle back in? He won’t start, but he’d add much needed cover in the middle.

Not whining at all….most city supporters would have expected us to kick on after Saturday….city were dreadful in the first 20 mins ….

Meite should not be in the squad let alone starting a match so a winger with lightening pace would be great. Maybe the Peterborough lad will be that signing

Monty you must get over miete? He didn't get a decent ball all game every cross was 30yrds from him did he get a chance to score No he didn't because as a team we were awful all night! As for Ashford he was absolutely awful when came on no point in running about if your head is still on the bench..... anyway when malech is upto speed miete won't start..

Oh how we missed Robertson tonight - hope he is fit for Saturday.

Meite on the pitch is like playing with 10 men.
We giggle at how poor he is.
Let him go to league 1 and get some enjoyment.

At this level he's a liability.

I like him, he's a try hard- but his positioning, touch, game sense and lack of creativity means he offers nothing to us. ..

I can understand why Riza made so many changes after the shift the team put in against the Jacks. We were never going to be able to match those levels in the space of a few days. He could have made more changes really as Rino, Daland and Chambers looked tired. Problem is we lack the depth so the quality noticeably drops. Meite is just not good enough. Plenty of endeavour but lacks any sort of threat. Colwill has gone massively off the boil and has done nothing in the league for months. I think this was just the wrong game for Sio. Lacks the physicality to be effective against a team like Millwall.

Great to see Salesh get a few chances and get his first goal quickly. Fair play to Willock. Was totally out of the game and Scored a cracker out of nowhere. Upped his game and looked a threat after that.

If we want to get out of this hole we’re in, we need at least 2 quality player, a winger and an attacking midfielder. Ideally a midfielder and another striker too. I suspect we will make one more signing as I just can’t see us investing.

At end of day it was a poor team performance yet we got an away point musnt lose that fact! Move on to Saturday and hopefully 3 points with strongest team starting ...

A Good fight back to keep a 7 game unbeaten record going

4 points in 2 games and our fans still complain .
2 difficult fixtures in a short turn around , I am happy with the 4 points .
He rested players from Saturdays effort . We are on a good run here and we needed it but now is not the time to complain .

Millwall one win in 13 games and getting beat nearly every week and the first half we were not in it.

Praised then for the 2nd half as we changed gear.
