The FA released a statement to say that the Robins face a misconduct charge after incidents which took place in the first Severnside derby of the season.

Really really and very unfortunately to our Club. Vincent Tan has been in courts more than Raphael Nadal

Take the name tan out of equation and it is still an offence to do it same as tragedy chants are offences .. and it's nothing to do with law courts so let's keep it to what it is a footballing offence

Tan is alive and well is he not? Have you heard something like this before.
I was there at the match if they did chant it was not very loud? And what was sung?

Well someone heared it and it was obviously deemed offensive otherwise fa wouldn't be looking at it would they? If someone called you a dickhead for example wouldn't you think that was offensive? And I'm sure it's not 1st cade of its kind in football to be looked at or acted on.

I heard the chant didn't think much of it at the time, I hear songs sung by our fans week in week out which are just as bad but it's football shit like this is sung through grounds all over the country every week, the chant was "you sold your souls to a lady boy"

Well isn't that calling him a transvestite or similar? If called a player a ladyboy sure it would be deemed offensive an owner is part of football club so while it's doesn't sound much in grand scheme of things nowadays it will be looked at as transfobia or something

Oh yea I agree in this day and age something like that would get flagged up but as football fans who been following cardiff for so long you become desensitised to chants like that so at the time I didn't really pay any attention to it but when I saw they had been charged that chant came into my mind and I thought it has to be thats what the charge was for

Well it wasn't Tan who did the complaining, he would have to actually turn up at games to hear it.

Of course it’s Tan,the club will do it in his orders. They can’t turn a light in without his say so

I think they got it all wrong it was the cardiff fans signing about Tan.

Absolutely ridiculous.

How can any club be responsible for what gets chanted by their moronic fans during a game?

Are their stewards meant to throw them all out?

And how long before our club gets charged when our brain dead idiots are constantly singing about Lizzie being in a box, the Hymns and Arias song and opposition player's mothers being a whore?

Well that is definitely racist. Fair enough from the FA.

Didn't hear the chant myself.

So I don't know what it was or whether it warranted a complaint.

All I will say, there are chants every week by all clubs' fans that are uncalled for but don't get a complaint - don't know why this is different.

We as fans may not agree with the action but cannot hide from the fact its racist ...and if fa are citing club for it that shows how they view it? So condeming club for bringing it to fa attention is wrong no matter how people feel about tan..like said if aimed at player same action taken end of story..

Are those chants aimed at an individual of club or the club in general? If at club agree hear it every game but not sure ever heared at an individual ....obviously when it's at player they're normally in earshot that's why hear about it never hear shouting from wider terraces though..

WHAT CHANTS THAT THEY ACTUALLY CHANTED HAVE NOT BEEN PUBLICLY PUT OUT:

I have to say as well, not ever heard of this happening in the UK before??

Cardiff fans use to sing about Elton John at Watford, about Swansea players etc etc

Never makes it right

And more recently away at Portsmouth and Plymouth about the Death of Queen Elizabeth.

Tan could open a can of worms here.

Bristol City have been charged with misconduct by the FA due to alleged derogatory chants about Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan.

BBC

The charge stems from two chants during the Championship match between the two sides on 6 October 2024 at Ashton Gate, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the FA said it is alleged that the Robins failed to ensure their spectators avoid using offensive or indecent language in both halves of the game.

The statement, external continued: "It's alleged the club failed to ensure their spectators and/or supporters (and anyone purporting to be supporters or followers) conduct themselves in an orderly fashion around both the 27th and 80th minutes, and don't use words or otherwise behave in an improper, offensive, abusive, indecent, or insulting way with either express or implied reference to gender and/or nationality and/or race and/or ethnic origin."

Bristol have until Friday, 14 March to respond to the charge.

Both clubs have yet to make a statement on the matter.

But let’s be honest , who exactly in that ground is getting upset by brizzle fans calling our owner a lady boy ? ….

I’m sure it ruined the match day experience for the thousands of real lady boys who were otherwise transfixed to the exciting goings on of the seven side derby.

So why is calling somebody a Ladyboy racist? Tan epitomises the old saying, you can buy clothes but you can’t buy style. I find the thought of him crossdressing quite disturbing. The FA want a sanitised soulless league, their only concern is money.
Offence is taken, not given. Anybody offended by this, really needs to have a word with themselves.

When you are a football club owner getting massive insults for one thing or another …..this goes with the territory .
As Cardiff fans we need to look at ourselves then and soon it will be clubs wanting to then complain about us.

Mate, The FA have received the complaint from us and have to act, so it’s not them who have started this.
