Omer Riza: “I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vincent

Thu Apr 03, 2025 4:10 pm

Omer Riza:

“I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vincent Tan, Dalman and Choo about where we went wrong.”

“We had a bad start to the season that never helped us.@

“Our pre-season set up and matches never helped us either.”

“I would like to talk about next season, but I haven’t been able to yet.”

“Currently, me and my staff, we talk all the time. We talk about pre-season, what it needs to be, players with recruitment we need to bring into the club to strengthen," he said.

“The stuff I just mentioned regarding what the club looks like, we talk about it regularly.”

"As a club, we haven’t had the chance to do that yet because we’re in this position. We need to get out of this position first. In general, if the club has got a plan in terms of a timeframe for certain things to be achieved, that would help. Hopefully moving forward that will all start to happen.”

Just appalling. We are in this position because of a number of factors and you Ritza is one of the main ones. Yet again blaming everyone except himself. The worst kind of person you can have. Total embarrassment. No way should he be manager next year and the fans will vote with their feet.

What a waste.of time sort out this season first

Re: Omer Riza: “I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vinc

To be fair, this isn't a good look by Riza.

Seems to be blaming everyone else - saying things like it's the players' fault, it's the board's fault, it's Bulut's fault.

He has to take responsibility, he's been in charge for a while and we are in the bottom three.

I have tried many times to defend him but he doesn't help himself.

No wonder everyone has had enough of him.

Whilst he says not talked to to tan he is indicating he's spoken to purse and Lee about next season? Ffs hope not.. :?

There is nothing positive between riza and tan in my book,
it may be time to start chantting something else towards riza so he gets the message that he is not wanted.

I know we had the worst start to the season but you can't keep blaming a 46 game season on the first 6 games

Re: Omer Riza: “I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vinc

He says he has had positive talks with the owners but in his next sentence he says they haven't a plan going forward, he says he talks regularly with his trainers but then says he hasn't had much time because of the position we are in, seems all smoke and daggers to me, he really haven't got a clue what to say.

We will probably go down under him this year and I wouldn't be surprised to see us struggle in League 1 next year, this team is better than what riza is getting out of it

I don't think our squad is that good. Certainly not play off material, more like bottom of the table where we are.

They look disjointed when they play and I just feel those that do have potential are lost.

However there is a light at the end of the tunnel when you look at Salach, Davies and Ashford. When you look at it like that there are a lot of gaps to fill.

The nightmare just continues he really is planning to take us all the way down to the non league. Get him and his homeless looking staff away from our club ffs. Enoughs enough.

Imagine we stay up, he’s kept on, has a pre season and a disaster start.

Gets sacked and Purse takes over interim, wins every game and goes on to win the league breaking our best winning streak.

I’d eat the tree in my garden if that happens

Your tree has more chance of being eaten by Canadian beavers.

I agree with you & have said so myself many times about the squad not being as good as the majority on here seem to think it is. If that's the case we should be well away from the relegation zone & not in it.

Infuriating.

I can remember one manager in history talking about pre-season whilst in the relegation zone.

We don’t care about positive talks.

We need points, forget next season and securing another pay check.

Get the team sorted!

So it’s not the inexperienced managers fault? should he get pre season to get his own squad?

Bad start to the season absolutely yes BUT since then we've been terrible. So many games we've been so poor qpr Preston and qpr at home Leeds away and the rest .We've dropped so many points since the bad start and the buck stops with riza his record is awful and at the moment we in back in the danger zone and we deserve to be we a poor and that's down to the manager

The fans will have the last word, they are trying to sell season tickets, if there's no improvement NO SALES..

Nobody that you have quoted has said any such thing or even suggested it.

I have seen worse squads than ours beat us by there managers tactics. One team for example I think we are better than is Bristol city , away we were going well until Riza confused our players by going 5 back . That’s just one example of the manager costing us points.

Re: Omer Riza: “I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vinc

Ffs get rid now and allow someone else the chance of getting 3 points from the next two games.....even if it's the bloody tea lady.

Re: Omer Riza: “I’ve had positive talks with the owner Vinc

I can’t watch his interviews anymore , he annoys the f**k out of me ,
We are going down and it’s just gonna get worse , until there is new owners then it’s a slippery slide down .
TAN OUT , All Of them OUT and keep the players who are hungry to play football for this club who want success .

He’s never going to leave as he’s never going to get either the role or the money that comes with it anywhere else.
Especially not in non-league football.

You can talk to your owners and backroom staff all you like but it's results and the fans that matter you have failed on both count. Just two words f*#@k off NOW
