He really has never had a chance, Football is tough, if the manager doesn't fancy you you've had it, no matter how hard you try you never get a chance.
Look at Robbie Keane great striker could make it almost everywhere yet Redknapp won't really give him a chance anymore.
Time will tell but I doubt he will get a chance and will probably be moved on this window (Feeney that is, come to think of it probably Keane aswell)????

This drives me mad DJ wanted a bigger squad to cope, he has a bigger squad but he does not rotate!!!!!

Theres only one thing I'd rotate for feeney.Thats the exit door out of CCFC.

I would def give Feeney a chance. And Ross, Ross is a top striker and our top scores last season yet he has sat on the bench 90% of the season.
I wouldnt be suprised if Ross went this month.
I would like to see Feeney and Ross start a game soon.

Are you saying Feeney is better than Bothroyd, Chopra or McCormack
Cause if he is better than Chopra in your opinion how much have we wasted on him
I agree he has not been given a fair chance at city but that is down to the manager but time for him to move on in my opinion and i hope he suceeds

I feel sorry for the lad. He came on loan to us and played 10mins of a game we were getting whupped 2-0And had to watch us in 3more from the bench. Whats the lad got to do to get a game? He must have ran over a black cat in the past? If he gets a start and a goal you will all be eating humble pie! Go Feeney! Go Feeney!

He might be a big gamble but gambling on him could turn out to be a winner! I bet a Mr.Laws wish he had he might still have been in a job!!!

31, numerous clubs, failed at Liverpool, only really had settled consistency at Spurs. Crouch way better in the air, works well as target man with Defoe, a far better finisher than Keane. Keane and Defoe don't play well together.
So basically, he should get a chance now over Defoe? No way...

feeney is a hard working honest player who would do a decent job at rovers, swindon etc,but he is not the answer for cardiff in terms of moving the club forward and taking us to the next level, yes he may not have been given a fair chance in terms of games back to back, but this has happened to feeney at other clubs,so in training managers must of assessed his attributes and come to the conclusion that he is a squad player,he is your mate annis so it is only normal for you to fight his corner, but do you really think he is the answer to our lack of strikers???although the strikers are under par at the moment they have qualities that feeney has not.For me i would let feeney go and find another club,so he can have gametime, and bring much needed quality in who is proven at this level and above.

I cant say he is better than Chops, because he has never had a chance, but Chops is going through a very bad patch and I believe he is not happy here. but I rate him more than Bothroyd and McCormack for work rate and we need to see him play.

Cheers Sam, Law rang him after he was Sacked and actually said to him, I WISH I HAD PLAYED YOU.

I think the fact he's you're mate is clouding you're judgement. Granted he's not had a run of games but in the ones he did play he didn't look remotely close to being the answer.
Up there with the Ewan Redan & Jason Byrne DJ center-forward signings for me

I agree, I am biased, but if he doesnt get a run we will never know.

As Jones often says, "you get a chance every time you walk thru the door for training", Feeney is probably showing is
true ability in training as well as the disastrous games he started.
He is a league 1 player at best time to move on Annis
Fri Jan 08, 2010 9:53 am
A bit of dreaming here but Feeney said when he left Luton he would 'fire the goals to get Cardiff into the Premiership'
Wouldn't it be ironic if somehow he did an Andy Campbell at Wembley come May?

Annis,
Just a small comment you made in an earlier post about Chopra wher you said you believed he was not happy here.
Is there any particular reason this may be? If you're right it may go some way towards explaining his goal drought.

He has said to a number of people in the Club, he is not happy down here and thinks its time to move on.
Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:03 am
if chopra is not happy, lets get a good fee for him and move on in the market,no player is bigger than our club, lets be fair to him, since mcphail been out of the side, who is the only ball player in the heart of midfield,he has been starved of good service his movement is quality off defenders shoulders, and his instinct is second to none, but without anyone to thread the ball through he will always struggle, all strikers have baron spells,i would not want to see him on a teamsheet against us as i always fancy him to get goals.
Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:08 am
Begs the question, why is DJ still playing him?? Hasn't scored, and doesn't want to be here. Sounds like someone we want on the pitch doesn't it?!!?
Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:20 am
I'm just wondering where Feeney would fit though Annis. He isn't big enough to be a target man and hasn't the pace to be the little man playing off Bothroyd. He isn't a prolific goal scorer.
We haven't got time to give him a run of 5 or 6 games which it will take to get him up to his fittest and sharpest to make an impact.
If Bothroyd got injured for a while then I suppose he would have to get a game out of necessity.
What a pity he was on loan at the start of the season when we were playing Magennis.
