Div 3 play off final at the Millenium Stadium. Almost got into a fight with a drunk City fan and would more than likely have fallen off the middle tier.

Capaldi with the throw, it goes deep into the area it is cleared to the edge of the area and it drops over Ledley's shoulder he turns and hits it with his left foot it goes over his shoulder towards goal and beats the Barnsley keeper and goes into the back of the net. :D I was at Wembley and I will never forget that goal.

Also seeing Cardiff walk out at Wembley in the FA Cup final.

Last Year at Ninian Park, when Ross McCormack scored a 94th minute penalty against Watford.

Ross McCormack penalty against the Jacks.

Going to the Emirates last year FA Cup 3rd round.

Beating Leeds in the FA Cup 3rd round, Scott Yound winner. :ayatollah:

The good memories far out weigh the bad ones.

ONWARDS and UPWARDS the Bluebirds :ayatollah:

You're my favourite member. If ever I'm feeling shitty I just read your posts and you always bring a ray of happiness!

I know this is strange but I loved the League Two (Division Three back then) promotion campaign. It was so workmanlike and even though we had one of the best squads down there it was awesome because we saw players like Bobby Zamora, Leon Knight and Dean Ashton before they were big time and while they were in their prime. It was like a little secret club down there. Loved every game that season, even the times we got dicked.

Obviously Wembley, Leeds 02, MillStad playoff are all up there. But I've got two which are a bit different I think.

The first is my first ever City game. I played on the pitch at half time and I think it finished 4-2 to City but I can't find any archived match reports online.

But anyway, that was when we first discovered Earnie and Leo, and I was stuck supporting this horrible club from then on!! :ayatollah:

Another favourite moment is singing "Where's your Billy Davies now?!" to some morons in the Grange End during City 4-1 Colchester.
They'd been singing "Jones out" and Billy Davies' name all game, we'd only won twice at home all season, we went in at half time 0-1 down and Ali, ever the comic genius, played Bob Dylan's Ballad of a Thin Man at half time, featuring the lines "You know something is happening here, but you don't know what it is, do you, Mr Jones?"
We came out in the second half, Whittingham, Thompson, Hasselbaink and Virgo scored and Kev MCNaughton led the fight that saw him become the admired figure he is today.
Little did we know then that come April, we'd be on a snow covered M4 on our way to see us beat Barnsley in the FA Cup semi final. Billy Davies? Ha!

Another one would be Cardiff City v Blackpool, and, oddly enough, Ali on the PA again - "Leighton James would like to apologise or his comments and wishes Cardiff all the best in the Final at Wembley. He does ask, though, that you stop sending pizzas and takeaways round to his house at 3 in the morning. However, Lee Trundle has been in touch and said you can send as many pizzas as you like round to his!!"

Just top class, that month, and indeed 2008, was probably the best of my life so far.

Ridsdale Out. :ayatollah:

Bristol Rovers away last game of the season at their old Eastville stadium. Sometime during the early 80's. I think it was a draw but we were already promoted.
A few drinks, sunny weather and thousands of away fans.

Those that couldn't get in watched from the raised dual carriageway that used to run over the back of the away end

Nothing that special on the pitch but the day is still one of my favourite memories of travelling away.

I could say watching us at Wembley or even the play off final maybe the pride at being in a Major European Semifinal, beating Real Madrid or the sometimes forgotten win over the then holders Sporting Lisbon all Wonderful occasions and all made me proud to be a Bluebird yes i can even take some pride in being at our League Cup semi against West Ham only thing was they gave us a right bollocking [if it had been a boxing match they'de have stoppedit early]but it's none of these things. My proudest moment came in the 1987/88 season when[not for the first time i found myself on the sick]at home with very little to do and with a seven year old son [also on the sick]needing entertaining that day.Anyway in a flash of inspiration i suggests we go watch the City train[you could still do that in those days]and to my son a Junior Bluebird[before it became popular]that was a top idea.So down to NP we go to discover they are having a light session on NP it's self,so in we sneak and stand in the Emclosure watching our heroes go through thier paces supervised by Jimmy Goodfellow[a real gentleman]when suddenly Jimmy spots us and asks would your boy like to join them on the pitch and be a ballboy for the session?Well i've never seen the little bugger move so fast[maybe when hi's Mam was on the war path]anyway he was gone, proud as punch to be on NP with hi's heroes. So the session ends but before the players leave the pitch they involve him in a kick about and George Wood lets him take a few pens against him.Jimmy Goodfellow invites me to see the dressing rooms and treatment room inside NP hallowed ground to me,and my boy well he's disappeared with hi's new best friend Nigel Stevenson down the tunnel to the changing rooms to get autographs from all the players,a truly great day and the one that i would say was my happiest and proudest moment following Cardiff City.
