I watched the Cup Draw in work today and was beaming when we drew Chelsea - a trip to Stamford Bridge!!
But my excitement soon turned to horror as I realised the weekend the tie would be played. If it's on the Sunday I'm fucked. Valentines Day. My mrs has already told me she'd leave me if I go to London to watch the game!!
Decisions, decisions!!

Its a tough one to call mate but at the end of the day its not worth the arguments and all the rest of it, give it another try and if she is having none of it then thats the way it will be. Just hope when you take her out for a meal and drink etc, the game is on in the backround.

I doubt it would be Friday or Monday for the FA Cup. I'm hoping for snow that weekend, then they can replay it on a day when we can both make it!!

Valentines day is only for insecure relationships, a load of commercial bollux.
Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:53 pm
can see "here coz wer're single we only here coz wer're single" being sung
Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:55 pm
On the 4th you have a massive argument, question her loyalty after hearing rumours and then say you need some time. Go to the game, see us win and come back before then apologising for being irrational and say you were stupid to even question her commitment to the relationship bringing her back a load of London merchandise to say sorry!

Alright Mr Davies, this is what I'd do...
If she is serious and you simply can't go via your own personal choice I'd say to her that it's ok you'll miss the game, make a little joke about hoping we don't smash them or you'll never be able to forgive yourself...spend the next week acting a bit down in the dumps, everytime the game is mentioned on TV or radio turn it off. Basically TRY and make her feel so guilty for not letting you go that she caves and at least agrees to accompany you to London so you can watch the game and spend time with her. The old reverse psychology mate - never fails

I'm married mate and told my missus all those years ago before we were serious that i love my football. She now knows where she stands mate on that score and doesn't even bother to put up a fight regarding the city.Tell your missus you will make it up to her but dont forget to say we night not get chance to play chelsea again in your lifetime.
Good luck

To be honest, none of that will work on her. She's a stubborn cow. The other major problem is that she HATES football with the same passion that I love CCFC. She's a Scarlet egg fan and she doesn't care if I miss the game or not. I'm still hoping for a saturday game but I'm not holding my breath.
