Went fishing today

Sat Jan 30, 2010 11:44 pm

My missus gave me a bollocking this morning and said I am getting far too worked up about this football lark  Knowing I have a bit of a fiery temper, she said today would not be a good day for me to go to the footy. She said why don't you go fishing and have a bit of a relax and reflect on the goings on in the past week. She's a wise old mare  . I was upset at first not going to the CCS but to make up for it I had a good days fishing and caught a couple of Barbel and a few Chub. I did listen in on the radio mind and the 3 points was good news. On reflection it was not such a bad idea for some of the fans to protest peacefully and I think we have gained the moral high ground over our wicked chairman  , I think the message has come accross to the shareholders loud and clear that he is not wanted at this club any longer. Let's hope that they listen to the fans and rid this club of the cancer that it seems is intent on destroying us. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Never fished there am a member of NAA but my son is a member of Glamorgan Anglers and fishes the Taff regular and has probably fished there. I will have to ask him. Sounds good that may give it a try. Is it available on a day ticket or is it a free stretch?

I know, I am a bit of an all rounder do a bit on the fly a bit of coarse and a bit of sea when the time allows. Especialy when I need to mellow a bit. I did the right thing in not going yesterday, calmed me down a gave me a bit of perspective. I hope the dignity of the fans in very difficult circumstances yesterday shone through to the major shareholders. They supported the boys in the stadium and made their feelings known outside and all done peacefully. So all those saying don't do it, you were wrong!!!!! All we have to do is keep up the pressure, get the EGM sorted and the final outcome will be a good one. Well for the fans anyway  . Meanwhile the boys are doing the business out on the field of play and every credit to them they deserve it. Oh, and it pains me to say it but well done Dave Jones too, cant knock you Dave, you have galvanised the boys and we have a siege mentality going on down there great stuff :ayatollah:

Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! You can buy at day ticket prices but it's best to get an Early Bird ticket two days before you intend going. It comes with free worms for the day and is also £2 less than Day of Fishing purchases. If you fancy a longer stretch, a 5-yr Season Ticket is on offer at 2009-2010 season prices. Don't be taken in with any other inducements though whatever you do.

I wasn't on the belmont side :ayatollah: go to pauls tackle i think it is right in town centre, he will draw you a map and everything where to park etc...... of course if you dont ask you dont get! really nice guy and very helpful.

The pegs are better on the belmont side :D

As he knows my old man (old c**t) he always tells me which peg is fishing the best etc.

Just some info mate :ayatollah:

BTW punched bacon grill on commercial waters is the bollocks :ayatollah:
