I'd say it was 1982 when they first emerged down the City.

the wedge haircuts were the best ! have a bit of a problem now trying to get a wedge done . now it's more of a number 1 job

My first ever tidy gear was a light blue Robe Di Kappa v neck sweater in about 1986.
I used to wear it with Farah hopsack slacks

Lois jeans, kickers with a tag, farah trousers, fila/Lyle and Scott roll necks and Burberry jkt . 30 on jerkys family rail card . Job done.

The wedge haircuts take me back to Sun In as well. I used some of that and it turned my black hair a subtle shade of claret apart from a blonde streak right across the front of my hair where the flick was!!
I also used to wear grey Farah's to school. Quality and looked very smart for school and used to go well with my shirt that has a metal bar across the collars and underneath my tie

More 80-81 for me, but that was because, I had been to a few WHU games, with a WHU supporting mate from Port Talbot. We quickly got into the whole casual trend. By the time 82-83 came around, we were watching just as many teams from around the country as City. Annis, when did you start running Brownhills?

That game in your profile pic was my first Welsh derby game. I was 15 and my Grandad took me and my brother. Because he lived in Swansea, we were in the North Bank and i remember the incident in the pic because the City boys were lined up in front of the north bank and me and my brother were looking at each other laughing

Ye bluebirds over they were the best days of following the city in my opinion,happy go lucky fun days,sometimes rough,with me coming from caerphilly even home games were dodgy on the grange end,i had a trilby not a bowler though.
