My Mate has just arrived in Newcastle and gone straight to look at ST JAMES PARK , Said it AWSOME, ITS WHAT A FOOTBALL STADIUM SHOULD LOOK LIKE, A 50,000 AMAZING STADIUM with CHARACTER

I was sad to say that to you on the phone annis but that's my opinion. The stadium is awsome and represents what a proper football stadium should look like and not the flat pack that Ikea built down leckwith way. It's very close to the city centre too and without having been inside yet (and after this I only have 4 grounds left to do) it smells of football and tradition. Having a Chinese lunch around the corner in Chinatown now wish the match was tonight though !!

To be fair, you've got to give CCS a couple of seasons before it gains any sort of real character. That'll have always been the case.

as much as I loved NP it had to go, sadly upgrading it was not an option,

we have got first season syndrome combined with the threat of financial meltdown which hardly does wonders for the atmos

its a bit like getting dumped by a top bird you can meet someone else and go through the motions whilst dreaming of the past or pull your finger out of your arse give her a good monkey facing and get on with it

life is what you make of it, NP is gone enjoy the memories but move on

Alex, Did you enjoy the Diary of the Soul Crew Book, honest opinion ?

Sack, you are right there are quite a few things not helping the new stadium, I wish PR would move on

I went to my cousin's wedding in newcastle back in 1991. Me and my brother decided to just go and have a look at the ground. It was nice back then and, even though I've never been back, I'm sure it's only got better. By the way, is the Strawberry pub still standing? Looked in a pretty bad way back then

Gutted not going ,have to agree that most new build grounds lack any sort of character .Really miss Ninian Park ,it made watching the City a experience every game .For everyone going to Newcastle have a real great time ,and hopefully 3 points .
