It just doesn't make sense.
How can a half fit waste of space like McPhail get into the side ahead of Burke?

I'd imagine that the fact they play in different positions may have something to do with it

Are you suggesting repeating that line up, by dropping McPhail for Burke is impossible?

I'm suggesting that you're a bit of an idiot.
If your logic is as you suggest, then Whittingham is ahead of Burke, and McPhail is ahead of Whittingham.
Why are people so annoyed at McPhail anyway? It wasn't his decision to play, and he was one of our best players before his illness.

I'm the idiot (personal abuse noted) tell me what's the score at present? Oh by the way your logic is a bit suspect, McPhail one of our better players BEFORE his illness, remind me how many did he score up until then?

easily the best centre midfielder at the club and and a worthy gamble tonight in the absence of ledley and rae
darcy blake was probably the worse choice, have seen nothing from him to suggest hes up to this level at all in the middle

We went 19 games unbeaten without him last season. He is far from the best CM at the club, for that title I would at least expect some kind of goal return.
