Good, close the door behind you.

Being a Rangers man I would be delighted with this move for him, but the club would not get a penny for him.

I hope joe can wait until pr goes we need home grown players in are team or we just wont have the passion

wouldn't we receive compo? good luck to him it's obvious riddler wanted to force his hand which has backfired.

He's a bit young to be joining the home of half decent semi retired footballers though

My mate went to Rangers, Walter Smith signed him then gave him the Feeney treatment for two years.

He scored against City for Blackpool last season, before going to Norwich then Plymouth for who he scored against City this season.

Hope Joe gets better treatment.

I've heard several people say that if he went to Scotland we would get no compensation but did we not pay Motherwell compensation for McCormack?

Correct

The club will not get compensation if Ledley moves to a league in a different country.

The payment for McCormack was not a compensation payment but a small fee paid to buy him out of the short remainder of his contract.

IMO standard will be poor and do his career no favours. Hopefully the Riddler we be gone by the end of the month, and a new contract will be sorted, and we see the old Joe once again.

But guaranteed Champions League games

Re: GLASGOW RANGERS

not ledleys biggest fan, but the club has fucked him about, id take joes word over liedale 8 days a week, as for a move to scotland/rangers,
a plus - for him would be increased wage, european football (not for long)
negative - is that i could turn up after 10 pints of bow and beat fuckin falkirk/st mirren on my own!

10 out of the 12 teams in SPL would not make the grade in the chamionship!

But they never get very far, and just humiliate themselves.

Are you sure of that because when he joined us he was a free agent, his contract having expired.

If money changed hands in the McCormack transfer it would not have been compo as clubs are not entitled to compo if the player signs in a different country.

Moving to Scotland is pointless if you have any ambition

It would be easy money for him.

Wouldn't advise carpooling with Demarcus Beasley though :o

Crap move for Joe but a great deal for Glasgow Rangers.

Re: GLASGOW RANGERS

Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:14 am

Hopefully he is keeping his options open and hasn't sighned anything that way when Ridsdale goes we make him a proper contract offer! The Scottish Premiership is a lower standard than the Championship and I really dont see what benefit 6 Champions League games a season will have on Ledleys career development.
