very lucky to have seen marc bolan in his prime and bowie at hammersmith odeon when he was ziggy.

For Vocalists i agree with the other Poster...Steve Perry from Journey,he was the only guy on the USA for Africa charity song who actually could sing.....also love a guy called Steve Overland from 80s melodic rock outfit FM (bet im the only 1 to have heard of em!!)

But when I was 16 I was mad about Sham 69, Cockney Rejects ,Exploited and Angelic upstarts and of course Stiff little fingers.

Too many good ones..The Jam,The Who,The Small Faces,Stone Roses, plus a bit of Motown and Northern Soul.

Seen Slade in the early eighties when not so popular...what a live act ....place was only half full but they gave it everything and changed my mind about them...thought they were just a glam rock band.

red hot chili peppers for me, after 20 years they still have that raw enthusiasm, seen them in 3 continents in 7 countries 11 times. loads of other great bands but i would be listing them forever
