Bothroyd or Gestede ...........You decide POLL

Yes another Nukes Poll So if you had a choice of having in our team at the moment Bothroyd or Gestede who would you pick ?

I would still have to pick Bothroyd im afraid! He has the ability to set this division alight - which he done last season along with Adel Tarabt, I prefer to take a player who has experience in this league and is guaranteed to bang them in. Yes he was a little lazy, and whinged alot - but in my opinion the positives outweight the negatives. I dont doubt though - that give it a year or two and Gestede will establish himself as a decent acquisition for any team in the championship!

What i cant understand he was one reason why we didnt go up last season as he couldn't be bothered to try But what really shocks me is the fact that supporters still like him Please tell me WHY ????? How can the positives outweigh the Negatives when 90% of him is Negatives.

I thought Jay did a good job here but I also believe that he was part of the annual failure that underlines the Jones years at Cardiff City.

For me Rudy Gestede is the embodiment of the spirit and ethic that Malkay Mackay has brought to Cardiff City, I cannot imagine Jay Bothroyd ever staying on the pitch for 25 minutes with a hamstring injury. Not only did Rudy do that but he was still winning headers both in attack and defence, yes Jay has the ability to set the Championship alight but that ability faded towards the end of every season he was with us.

I wish Jay all the best but his time here was over and I for one look forward to the future and Rudy Gestede being a big part of that.

If it wasnt for him pre-xmas and before his injury we wouldnt have been anywhere near the top 2.

Right now, Jay Bothroyd, we'd be top 6 at the mo with Jay in the side NQAT. Gestede is potential, a year, two years time he could be the finished product. But right now Jay would tear through this league with out team.

Would'nt like to say, until When and if, Rudy get's to be a regular starter in the side. I've only seen a few minutes here and there of him.

Exactly Taffy. I am not questioning Jay's talent as i know how good he is and can be. But what i dont like is his work ethic and his attitude which stinks to high heaven. And his contempt he did show for our Club last season. Personally i hope he never pulls on a CCFC shirt again as he has no right to wear our shirt again. He treated our shirt like shit and i have a right to dislike him.

Bothroyd is a much better player, you can't argue over that. Not saying that I would want him back though.

people are picking gestede over bothroyd need to get real! Gestede has not even played 90 mins in the championship yet! Yes bothroyd is hated by many on here after the way he left, but he is quality at this level!

His attitude and commitment after he got capped was shocking I will never forget the way he bottled the challenge in the 2nd leg of the play offs against Reading at home.

I agree there but it showed his commitment which should be applauded reminded me of Phil Stant at Middlesborough away in the Cup in 1994!
