Very sad. Grown men getting off on violence after the game, wallowing in shameful behaviour in some kind of homage to th bad old days. Annis, I thought you was a football man bt the posts on here are shredding your credibility and making thIs look like in the know.

Loads of kids and saddos banging on about 'toe to toe' tasty mobs and running the other firm. Can't you see how pathetic that looks? f*cking hell, even posting photos with hooligan heroes like Jason Mariner as if it's it was some kind of hooligan autograph hunt. You are attaching your name to it all so you cant cry foul when you are inevitably cited as promoting/endorsing this sort of behaviour. All it does is reinforce opinions of Cardiff

NO MORE MOANING ABOUT BUBBLE TRIPS it's hardly any wonder. This site over the weekend says it all.

Re: This site

Shhhhhh - I got slated earlier for 'moaning' about the glorification of hooliganism on here. My post has even mysteriously disappeared!

Re: This site

It's as much about football culture as anything else. Much as you may not like it, for us of a certain age who grew up in the old days of terrace battles, it's part of our culture as much as our favourite striker, favourite game, ground, pubh to have a beer in at home games and what trainers you'll be wearing next saturday. What happened on saturday was a trip down memory lane for some

it does seem to have turned into a hooligan site lately, i'm finding it hard to post on anything that is about football (which is why i joined) as it all seems to be about aggro and ive done with all that :D
and its funny how posts glorifying violence are still here those opposing it have dissapeared :!:

I agree it is annoying but you get it on every messageboard. Still its a shame because this was one of the best footy forums going.

and what will happen as a result is more bubble trips and more grief away. I grew up in that era and managed to have a beer, wear trainers and go away without getting into bother. Yesterday was a load of middle age men look like they have inferiority complexes.

This still is one of the best, if not the best, footy forums around. There are plenty of threads talking about football

When you go on a forum, you should get a feel for the way the people on them post. This is a laddish forum and the posts on here reflect that. We can talk football and we do a lot, but it's the culture of football that attracts and keeps people here. What happened yesterday is how people remember the way it used to be. It will most probably never be like that too often in the future, but there was so much going on and so much danger and tension in the air, it was literally like being back in the 80s

Don't you realise posts like fully back up the original point?

Never mind boys, I'm sure Newcastle/West Brom fans are looking forward to "days like the 80's all over again" when they play Chelsea in the Premiership next season.

no it wasn't it was another away game with a minority of our lot drinking too much and thinking they are starring in fuckin green street. It's time to grow up.

RobbieS, I was not going to get involved on this subject again tonight but you have pissed me off. Anyway let me ask you one question. Let me put you in the scenario I found myself in.

I was with a few friends and their kids. We came out of the ground and followed instructions. That is go left. To my surprise we found ourselves literally right next to these so called Chelsea supporters. I saw literally every wrinkle on their faces and they were posessed. They had one intention and it did not take much to work out. Before we knew it they were climbing over the barriers and coming for us. There were no police about.

I wont tell you what happened next but you tell me, what would have you done?

I thought your life was amazing. Successful business, great family loads of money. I go to football because I love the sport and have some top mates. But I have NEVER felt the urge to engage in what happened yesterday. No different than the rugby boys I so hated in school.

Sad as f**k

They didn't even look like British football supporters. What was all that with Swastikas on their chests. Typical of a film made by yanks who understand nothing of our culture and advised by Dougie Brimson

Bollocks. There were kids right at the front and they attacked.

Like you I walked away but that was down to the fact others without kids stood their ground against these morons allowing the likes of you and I with to walk away.
