new Labour = Old tory

New tory = new Labour

Basically you haqve 2 centrist Right wing parties.

Anyone who thinks there is a difference between the 2 is as thick as 2 planks.

I was going to say ianfens, they're both as bad as each other. I've always voted Liberal Democrats because they actually listen to their constituents. They'll never get into power though because they're not strong enough. They would be though if everyone who said 'I would vote Lib Dem but they'll never win' actually did vote for them!

Re: LABOUR PARTY

Some people have a short memory, Labour ain't perfect when when you actually look at the scale of the cuts the Tories are proposing then your average working class man on the street should be afriad ........... very afraid

Well at the moment our recovery out of a worldwide recession is ahead of Germany and many other, so-called, well managed economies so it seems to be working

By the way, I think Ridsdale is a self-confessed Tory - does that convert anyone    :ayatollah:

Re: LABOUR PARTY

Yeah I do agree; Labour have been pretty useless.

Unfortunately, though, the Tories and Lib Dems won't change anything in any major way IMO.

(I hope they do, though, of course)

my one fear with the Libs is Human rights will go OTT (not that it isnt already in this country) but the wrong people will get more and more rights on their side, I also fear International security would become an issue under them.

Easiest option is my vote isnt going to make any difference whoevers in power so dont vote.

Politics should quite simply be decided through a fair manly game of iccy biccy!

Re: LABOUR PARTY

Tue Feb 23, 2010 5:16 pm

Labour have let down the working people of this country as well as many businesses and most importantley the old aged. But dont kid yourself that any of the other parties will do anything for you, especially the tories who will only line the pockets of their rich friends, who in turn will line theirs for influence.
Some things the Labour party have given us are better education and schools and the minimum wage but on the whole they have been a disappointment.

Re: LABOUR PARTY

Exactly, anyone who thinks the Conservatives will look after the working class are in a dream land.

I’m not happy with Labour either, but you can bet that the Tories will slash public sector jobs and spending money on the nhs.

Grass is not always greener as they say.
