TRUST NO-ONE
Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:02 pm
i dont trust any of the lying fuckers, they can all go and f**k spiders as far as i am concerned
Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:02 pm
It's impossible to trust any of them without knowing the full story inside out. I have faith that he will still do what's best for the club but I am aware that we need to prepare for him not being on our side.
Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:05 pm
Yes, I still respect his judgement.
If he was just in it for the money why would he have taken on the House of Sport liability recently? I can't imagine it will generate much rent to pay him back.
Also he's said to be the one negotiating with the Malaysians, so he's our only hope at the moment
Let's hope he doesn't read some of the idiotic stuff written about him today, as I know at least one member of his family has!

I trust him to do right by himself which I STILL believe means, doing right by the club and therefore doing right by the fans.
HOWEVER, as 'a man of the people' person, that has gone. Under obvious pressure from the rest of the board he came out fighting against someone who only had the clubs welfare at heart. People do this sort of thing when the pressure is on and turn on the wrong people.
You see it in work scenarios all the time. There is always someone, when push comes to shove, who will drop someone in it to save themselves.

He's a businessman and needs to get some thicker skin. PR can show him the way. This is my concern Steve is an extremely nice guy and as such this sort of high profile situation does not suit him and he will take it personally.
He will do right by the club but he does need to step away from trying to be a friend to everyone. He sorted it when Sam came in and he will sort it again. I bet this time he will walk away after though.

You can't imagine doesn't mean he won't profit from it.
His company did work at the stadium - albeit seems payment is a bit screwed - was that ever fully tendered? Or did his company get the gig due to his status with the club? Can't have it both ways...
Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:17 pm
No, don't trust any of the lying feckers.
Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:21 pm
And its a resounding NO from me!!Hope his family dont read that!!!lol

NO ! borley had ample time to tell annis where he stood..... annis even told us that borley said he would take over the chairmanship once ridsdale had gone.... yet he chose to publicly shoot annis down instead of having a word before the event, why he chose this way i dont know and if i was annis i would find that unforgivable.
Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:03 pm
no way.
Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:06 pm
Don't trust any of the board.

cant we have a "dont know " option? Steves a clever guy what we see as a let down may or may not be part of a bigger scheme. I dont know.
But would add a resounding no to all the other Board members

SB really looked like he didn't want to be there today.
the way he answered Annis' question... If I was PR I wouldnt be too convinced of Borley's support.
I HONESTLY beleive that Borley is NOT fully behind PR and is biding his time.

No - part of a group of milkmaids draining every last drop of cash out of a dieing cow. Hope they all sleep well tonight and in the words of our manager "Have a shit journey home".

Whilst some people obviously feel that he shat on Annis’s back today, we have to look at it in another way.
He needs to stay in the thick of things at the club for the foreseeable future if he is going to convince the Malaysian’s too invest.
By agreeing with Annis today he would have caused a lot of friction between himself and the other board members and could well be driven out of our club, then we would have not bugger on the board who has the clubs best interest at heart.
Many of us are angry and upset by the EGM today and at the moment he is an easy target, let’s give the guy a chance as he is flying out to Malaysia next week that could very well save this club and progress us towards the premiership.

One day I am sure he will explain his reasons.

I have no idea why they are dragging their feet Arfur but I am sure they have their reasons.
These Malaysian’s are far better businessmen than Ridsdale and his cronies, it does not surprise me at all about the rumours going around that they will not deal with Ridsdale.
I just think that causing unrest with the rest of the board this afternoon would make negotiations with the Malaysian’s next week very complicated and could possible disrupt the deal. That is only my opinion by the way, I respect that other people’s opinions differ to mine.
What I do not agree with though is Steve agreeing and giving Annis the impression that he would back him today. If he was going to back the chairman all along then he should have informed Annis in private and told him to keep it quiet along with his reasons. If I was in Aniss shoes today, I too would be deeply hurt and upset at his betrayal.

Spot on. Steve looked VERY stressed today. Borley did waht was required to keep his place on the board but also had the question asked at a full shareholders meeting which Ridsdale looked extremely uncomfortable about. From there on his hands were shaking.
We know more about Steve Borley than we do about the Malaysians. Remember that, they could be a bunch of asset stripping carpet baggers for all we know. Right now Steve Borley is the only constant we have. Lets get behind him. It's easy to say he's in it for himself but he's taking on the house of sport at massive cost to him so the club can keep going. He's not taken a penny out in salary and I'd wager CMB did the stadium work at cost or near as dammit.
