Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:07 pm

Got to dash out, but:

http://www.ccmb.co.uk/fudforum/index.ph ... 8&rid=3372

I believe the widely advertised protest is fundamentally flawed.
The protest is against the board and that includes the man who heads a group who we hope will provide the stability we all hope for. What sort of message do you want me to deliver to the Malaysians or for that matter any other group.
The questions asked have been answered at last weeks EGM and been widely publicised. There are no unanswered questions in my opinion. There are questions people dont like the answers to but no unanswered ones.
It is interesting that the person organising the March VOTED AGAINST ME BUYING THE HOUSE OF SPORT SITE which released much needed money into the club. If I had not taken on this LIABILITY the club would already be in Administration, so whats the logic in voting against that motion unless you want to drive the club into Administration. There is no gain in this for me and even after the deal I remain the largest single fit out contractor creditor .
Also if the purpose is to bring down the board then again you are driving the club into Administration because there are no ready replacements. The supporters groups should work with the club, not against it even if you dont entirely agree with it AFTERALL ITS ALL WE HAVE GOT!!!!.

I urge people not to let this get personal and pull together to find a solution, FORGET PERSONAL VENDETTAS and stop and think of what your actions could bring. Please work to attract the investment or even change of ownership but please dont send out the wrong message as we could all live to regret it.

After everything the board have done, Borley et al still want the fans to do nothing?

Re: Borley at it again

What could the fans do to attract investment?? over 20,000 turn up every game, over 10,000 bought season tickets in advance.

just got in what have i missed :o

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:12 pm

Now this is where i call him a "knob" !!!! IMO :)

we sat back listened and stayed silent as requested - he knows that all the board are in this together and they do not want to be uncovered for the thieving bastards that they are!

Any future invester would want to see fans that support their club not sit back and be herded like sheep to the slaughter house

no unanswered questions at the EGM what about the below:

PR: we are going to go through all our overheads in order to cut costs.
PR: I can't answer any more questions on winding up orders, but aim to sort them
PR: I will not say how much we owe creditors, as it's sensitive information.
PR: I will not discuss the transfer embargo

"FORGET PERSONAL VENDETTAS?"

Charming that after you have spent half your post slagging Annis off.

Also there were plenty of unanswered questions at the EGM, who are the stadium fit out creditors and how much are they owed or is that too sensitive to answer?

F**k off your a joke.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:18 pm

The board asked us to buy STs when they knew there was an embargo on. What does Borley expect us to do? Saying sorry is not good enough Steve. Your board members lied and let us down. Now go and deal with that. How about going to the Malaysians and saying the fans want Ridsdale out because that is what we want.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:24 pm

I can't see why the malaysians would be put off buying the club because the fans go on a march. The malaysians know the club has been poorly run financially and the fans are marching against that! If anything I think the malaysians would understand our reasons for protesting and even sympathise with us. It was them after all who apparently put the brakes on a possible investment when they realised that we were in more debt than they thought we were in. If the Malay's read this site I'm sure that they realise that all we have is the clubs best long term interest at heart!

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:25 pm

Oh BTW if you are worried what to tell the Malaysians then don't bother, let someone with a backbone go in your place.

to say I'm dissapointed in that post by Steve is an understatement. The guy saved our club no doubts, I worked for him 7 years and admired everything he did and achieved but that post to try and stop the demo has knocked me for 6.I honestly cant fathom what games are being played at CCFC now if any games.

Nothing makes any sense, why oh why as Ridsdale got such a hold over Borley and the rest?

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:31 pm

So Steve Borley would prefer if we got behind the board so he can sell his shares ( PR) at a marked up price........

Perhaps we should support the Board so PR might get another bonus if he manages to sell or bring in investors.

We should support the Board and ignore the fact he fucked up over the ST's' ......... remembering he never mentioned the embargo and still won't.

Support the Board while he has left a trail of debt around us and has stripped the club bare.

This is the very same Chairman who last year believed he should actually be on a bigger salary than he's currently on.

In other words "Trust Us" BOLLOX.

As long as the march is peaceful then I cant see the problem. I fully expect it will be which is why I intend bringing my kids.

So, I'm worried as to why he feels like this.

I don't subscribe to him being Ridsdale's puppet, or on the take from the club, the ones on here who know him say thats not in his character, and in the past his conduct has proved that to be true, but do feel that he knows something we dont and its that that frightens me.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:33 pm

Steve the season ticket offer was the killer. Our fans are working class people with mortgages etc.In the middle of the credit crunch they put their hands in their pockets. If that doesn't encourage investment nothing will.
We are not completely stupid. Land has been sold to build a hotel.
Funds still have to be raised to fund the building of this hotel.
I presume as the Malaysians are in the leisure industry they might well be interested in investing in this project.

It is not hard to believe Borley knows alot that we don't I still can't see that as a valid reason for him to urge us not to demonstrate. Also what is this personal thing with Annis?

It simply doesn't make sense and I am at a loss to understand Borley's thinking.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:39 pm

Well Borley you have run out of sympathy we are marching and the fans who stood on the terraces when 2,000 was a good crowd are standing firm, many newcomers over recent seasons such as Jon Candy are onboard also. We have been sat by and allowed this club to p*** over supporters there has been lies, with half baked apologies which quite frankly do not wash, How the hell you and others take a decent wage whilst the club goes down the pan is incredible. Weve had enough been pushed over the edge and we are marching.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:41 pm

Why can't they just keep their heads down?

Everytime Borley comes on, it just makes things worse, just urging fans to do things.
WE'RE SICK OF BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO BY THE BOARD.

Re: Borley at it again

Mon Mar 01, 2010 9:01 pm

FORGET PERSONAL VENDETTAS and stop and think of what your actions could bring. Perhaps you should look in the mirror, as well as aim that remark at your fellow board directors and chairman Mr Borley. Was it not Peter Ridsdale during investment negotiations who either forgot or deliberately failed to inform the Malaysian investors that the club had a tax issue and were subject to a winding up order in the High Court. When asked at the Muni meeting why he did not inform them his reply was, "they didn't ask". That is a cataclysmical error at best and downright deception at worst and to be honest I am amazed the Malaysians are still there. I could go on and on about other cock ups the man has made, (they are well documented) and I am sure you are aware of all of them. That is the sad thing really, that you and your fellow directors knew what has been going on and have done nothing about it. So when you state "stop and think what your actions could bring", then maybe thats what you and your fellow directors should have done long ago.

You say, There is no gain in this for me and even after the deal I remain the largest single fit out contractor creditor .. Well what about all the other creditors MR Borley? How could you as a director stand by and allow MR Ridsdale to accept (and take from the clubs coffers) a £100,000 bonus when you knew full well local businesses who worked in good faith for the club have not been paid. Mr Ridsdales actions are abhorrent to any fair minded football fan but yours and the other board members inaction are equally as bad.

You may believe that the widely advertised protest is fundamentally flawed but you have left the fans very little option. I for one congratulate Annis Abraham for having the balls to organise this Demo, the man has got his heart in the right place, he loves his club as do most Cardiff City fans. Sadly it seems the only love the directors and Major shareholders have for the club is not in their heart but in their back pockets and bank accounts.

FAO: Steve Borley

Steve, I have been a big admirer and a die hard supporter of your good self over the years. Up until now I would not hear a bad word said against you.

Although most of us have been very grateful for your input over the years and appreciate all of your efforts and sacrifices, I'm afraid if you can't see why so many fans are so upset then you have completely lost touch with grass roots Cardiff City.

For you to say that all questions were answered at the EGM just rubs salt into the wound. If you think that EGM was a satisfactory response then much as I hate to say it, those comments tar you with the same brush as Risdale and co. (I'd always thought of you as the good apple in the barrel).

We were conned out of next years season ticket money, and we just don't buy the "investment failed to materialise" fairy tale. You asked us for money because it didn't materialise, it didn't fail to materialise afterwards. If the club had held its hands up and been honest then we would have paid it anyway. However, watching the excuses and bull that Ridsdale has come out with has been like watching politicians justify their fraudulent expenses, its cringe worthy and just insults our intelligence. As we see it, we are a club that has no way of self financing itself, and any money it does make doesn't appear pay off any of its debtors. In the meantime, our club's assets are stripped and directors get bonuses.

If you honestly can't see why we're so upset, you need to get out of the boardroom and back onto the terraces, you're mixing with the wrong crowd Steve and they're having a very bad influence on you.

It could work two ways tho it could add 200 or take away the same amount, people who were unsure about marching could see that and think if it could scare any investors off i wont bother. It's a very clever time for Mr. Borley to post that.

................

Must say very disapointed in that statement by Steve Borley.

He states "What sort of message do you want me to deliver to the Malaysians or for that matter any other group." the message is easy, suffered enough fools at board level, time for no more fools, so if you have substance come forward.

Cant believe hes written that to be honest, especially after Flicroft fully admitted the board knew when taking cash from fans for golden tickets prior to xmas knowing full well they could not deliver. Sorry is not good enough for mugging.

Ridsdale has sunk another ship with his ship mates and they want the passengers to stay calm " dont worry have a whip round and you may get a life jacket" too late for that.

Truth is Borleys hung in whilst the other rapists have had their way and had a good filling and once again hes trying to keep it together, hes made a mistake with this statement mind.

I have to agree with you there,

I'm still fully behind borley at the moment, as I don't think we have any other option really! but I do think that statement was a mistake, and definitely won't help the views of people who are already against him
