SAM HAVING THE WOOL PULLED OVER HIS EYES.

Mon Mar 08, 2010 8:26 pm

Sam, rang to ask me about the March and how things are, asked why didnt we put more Malaysian flags up and make them feel wanted, like we did to get him on board.
He spoke to PR this am and PR assured him all was well and finances under control, just waiting on Malaysians.

I said Sam, do you believe him and he actually did, I said your getting old and PR is spinning you. I then Said Have I ever lied to you, he said NO, So I told him they are not paying the Tax man in full once again and havent yet got the ok off them, he was actually gob smacked. I then told him many more home truths and told him to ring Big Gwyn.

I really believe Sam, is no where near the man he was 10 yrs ago.

He did remind me that if he wast paid, he would not put the Club under, but would like to have a say again.
But he is not the same man as he was.

Not the same man he was? Good.

For far too long he was telling people he was putting his own money in and not building up our debt.

Im all for opinion but Sam is well gone......Im sick and tired of hearing about him to be honest.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that Ridsdale might not be the real villain of the piece here and Sam is aware of that?

Just a thought.....

Who are the major shareholders? Who are the major secured creditors? Who made the profits from the retail park? Who made the profits from the GRO? Who is now set to make the profits from the hotel plot? Who prefers to stay in the shadows? Who isn't interested in football? Who wants out but are grabbing what they can before they bail?

PMG, I agree and are leaving fast.

Dave that still doesnt change my view though, i am surprised that Sam believes PR.

Dont you think it is PR's job to take the bullets for PMG so that they can remain silent.

PR takes the money and in my opinion is happy to take the flak for the rewards and he can then privately tell people that the real villians are PMG but really he is happy with the situation.

Who has been employed by the club making, what, £1.5m when widely regarded as unemployable within football - and indeed, outside football?

Who has employed exactly the same "business tactics" at more than one club - namely gambling current and immediate future income on the "prize" of more income later?

You can argue Guy and all are culpable, but the day to day running, strategy, approach has been Ridsdale's baby.

I understand that, with the stadium now completed and all the land deals done, their exit strategy is well under way. As they prepare to sail off into the sunset with their bags of cash intact, the world and his wife is firing bullets at the Chairman. That's why they've always stayed in the shadows. As they're concerned it's job done. And we have been.

Why weren't we complaining at the start though? I know there'll be a few piping up on here saying they warned us all, but it took us a while to realise!

Yes totally agree with all you say but I dont believe that PR is not as guilty either Dave.

He has had some wonderful bonus' and has an exceptional salary to be the face of this board and if he didnt like what was happening he could have spoke out himself.

Ridsdale's been the well-paid front man, and now he is the well-paid fall guy. It was bound to happen to happen eventually.

You don't seriously believe this whole business is down to one man, do you?

Ask yourself this question: how many stadium and retail development projects has Mr RP Ridsdale previously been involved in? And how many projects of that type have the club's major shareholders been involved in?

Who is more likley to have taken the lead here - the bloke who used to sell socks or the men who build shops?

As i posted many years ago " skint club in middle of retail park with home to egg too"

95% slagged it off..... whats the situation now exactly?

Yup, carl, it's just a happy coincidence the same things seem to happen repeatedly to poor Peter. Leeds wasn't really his fault, and Barnsley, why, he left them in a mess.

Here, doing a stirling job, not repeated any mistakes whatsoever, god no, see, it was really the pesky major shareholders. They told him to spend high on wages, not address the wage / income differential. They gave him chinese burns, see, he really wanted to run the club on a tight fiscal basis.

Of course PMG are covering their arses, getting money back. To point to them as the real reason for the financial meltdown is a farcical notion...

I didn't say that, Carl. In my opinion, PR has been guilty of some terrible mistakes during his time here. No doubt about that. However, others have also played major roles in getting the club into the situation it currently finds itself in, and in some respects I believe others have been far more calculating as they've gone about their business.

Of Course PMG are the rotten but PR is the face and he took the job knowing that.

Terry Burton is apparently one of the best coaches and tacticians around but the teams failure will always be DJ's responsibilty.

How many of our creditors trust PR and more importantly have faith in him.

Who's idea was it regarding the season ticket offer, PMG OR PR ?
