Its great that we've been winning our home games, but can you imagine what the table would look like if we had not had such dismal away results? A win tonight would mean that the away form dip is behind us and we will definately crack on and prove oursleves as the promotion favourites.
The Malaysian rebranding has caused a divide in our fans, no doubt, but its not as bad as this board suggests, sure there are people on here who feel strongly, Annis for example, but the majority of fans have accepted (but not embraced) the changes, and i put myself in that bracket. Head down the the CCS and look around, at the stadium, at the players and staff, its the best shape the clubs been in, we have gone past being a club trying to make the transition to a club ready for promotion and in my opinion, a club that has the financial backing to stay there when we arrive. When that happens I do not doubt that Tan will make good on his promises to extend the stadium capacity, and improve the training facilites, why wouldnt he? He is more than likely trying to create a club he can sell on.
Cardiff City in the Premier league will pull crowds that our friends out west could only dream of, we know that and so do they, I personally do not care if we have a new breed of fans, that some might call plastic, we will have over 30000 fans if Wembley numbers are anything to go by, It aint gonna be a Ninian Park atmosphere but people need to accept we arent going to get the Ninian Park atmosphere back, we have an all seater stadium, the family stand is next to the away fans, we are family club of the year you can get banned for abusive chanting as has happened to a couple of West Ham fans yesterday (albeit they were caught using racist slurs) football has moved on from the NP days, its just that certain fans can not let those days go, why would they, some might say they were great times to be a football fan.
I am fed up of the stick that Vincent Tan is getting on this board, yes he made changes to our club, serious changes, changes that would never have been made by a person with experience in football, but he made those chnages for reasons he believes could improve our clubs finanicial standing long term, and thats something we can all agree on needs addressing. The total debt may be raising, but we want Premier League football dont we? he is pushing the club to take that step further than has been done before. Hamamm spent alot of money to get the club into the Championship and Tan is taking the next step, spending what is needed to get us into the top flight of football.
We have the financial backing, we have the promising young manager who could be at the helm of our club for many years to come, lets look forward and stand together as we Cardiff City are top of the league, come on CIty

Personally, not at the cost of the clubs identity - but there we go.
Still enjoying the football and supporting the team, but still feel short changed by it all with that change.

I disagree, can't speak for everyone unlike you, but my main concern is to see the club continue at the level an area and a support base of our size deserves.
Getting to the Premier is just part of wanting success and part of being a football fan is wanting to achieve success surely? even clubs like Torquay will have fans who dream of getting to a cup final or making it to the next division every season, without hope and ambition, what is it all about, we may as well just play pre season friendlies all year.
The Premier league is simply the target, once team gets there they then set the bar higher and aim for the champions league etc.
Can't see that changing in football or any competitive sport to be honest, I think that why it's called a competition.
Some people have said they would be happy to play in division two or even the Welsh League as long as they were in blue.
But would playing in blue satisfy their ambitions, or would they still look to gain promotion back to where we are now and heaven forbid even the Premier league?

You say you can't speak for everyone, so accept that some people will feel different to you.
If it was a choice between red and prem or blue and championship/L1 it would be blue every time.
If we chose Blue, it was more likely to be liquidation, or Administration surely? not championship/L1 etc etc
I've survived quite long enough without us being in the top flight & I'd quite happily continue. Yes, we would look to fight our way back up, but us being in blue and being relegated wouldn't mean we would have to stay there forever... We would rebuild and start again.

Yes, we would have lost players and would struggle - but we would still be Cardiff City.
I don't feel we are really the true Cardiff City anymore. Just a club with an identity crisis and an even bigger debt than before.
I appreciate that others see it as a positive, however.
