no they wouldnt. premier league isnt the be all and end all. its fantastic and obviously what everyone in the championship is aiming towards, but its not worth selling your identity and history for

Why do people keep on saying your selling your history that is deluded our history will never change our future is thanks to the Malaysians, also I work all over the country meeting loads of fans from different clubs and they ALL would love to be in our position.

Funny how people have a view on this with out knowing facts? Ken we didnt sell history its still here always will be. Also didnt take money for premier. Took to survive at time! and its bollocks to say other clubs wouldnt do it! its fans who wouldnt but they dont pay bills do they. Shame about badge ect but we not only ones to do it? s.hampton done so with shirts in past leeds also, so not unique are we?

He actually said that he would not clear the debt until the Langston issue had been settled, and unless you know something I don't, I think that is still up in the air.

I don't remember him putting a timescale on it, but perhaps I'm wrong and you have different information. :old:

You should remember a timescale Gwyn by your own words you gave him 6 months.

Look back at your previous posts, you got shot down enough that time, I never gave them six months to transfer debt to equity, please try and keep up.

Thats the trouble with you Gwyn, even when I provided the very quotes you asked for and proving you gave Tan 6 months, you convieniently ignored them just the same as you are going now. You then add a belittling comment just for good measure. You say one thing one day and then the complete opposite at a later date when it suits you.

Still split opinions and some good debate. Although it's very simple in the cold light of day. Don't like it, don't go and you won't be missed.

I'm surprised how much positive posting there is on this thread for Tan.

Five pages too!!

Not surprised it isn't a sticky though

In fairness to gwyn the press release clearly states that the debt to equity would not happen until the Langston issue was resolved

Whilst I have been a staunch Blue and historian supporter and to that effect still am , this mornings opportunity saw me see through a Tan pair of spectacles .

Through those spectacles he saw nothing of history and doom , in the world of football we don't really have a history apart from the odd famous win and certainly not a history anybody outside the City would ever recall.

The most history probably is a debt ridden club going nowhere apart possibly out of distinction after the poor running of the good ship of late by Kumar,Borley, Hammam, Ridsdale , each and every one of them failing the Club . That's the vision the Malaysians internally have and when you look at it that way they are probably correct in their view.

All they saw was a Championship team in a new stadia a few steps away from possible Premiership Football but also a Championship team the other side a few step away from Financial meltdown , in other words easy picking and ripe for rebranding. Remember at this stage they have no allegiance for the Club and their wish only would be the allegiance to their own Company Brand to which the Club would become a small part of their portfolio.

If you see it from a neutral Malaysian vision why would they wish to try and run the brand Cardiff City the Bluebirds, lets face it generally speaking that brand has failed in the last 100 years in both business and football streams as well as being a very small entity outside of Wales let alone globally.

If to be brutal you could brand it as a " tin pot club" or a big fish in a very small media pond of South Wales. A " Tin pot" Club with a very low customer base and a high region of lack of apathy towards the current brand. The customer base at the time made up of a hard core of fans who portrayed themselves as loyal but in many instances most certainly not " brand able " for marketing reasons unless you wished to make a profit out of hooligan books or tales of woe from away match leaders. Certaintly no club in the world has run its business on hooligan books.

Revenue streams all sold in the main by the previous entourage of failed Chairman including a price freeze on admission fees.

A staff of non experienced employees , no where near the grade to operate a Championship/Premiership operation or brand in fact a position where the staff mentality was more suited to a conference team with big ambitions.

The Lawn Mover being the Stadia Manager in Wayne Nash, The ticket office and media Manager run by an ex furniture salesman and the Chief executive with no football experience put in place by PMG , to protect their interests and from their Rugby World.

Company Sec , held by a man on fraud charges and struck out of his own law practice.

Harsh maybe but true and clearly not the vision Mr Tan has for taking his new rebrand forward after investment and clearly not foundation for the successful future if its to be built.

It was clearly a start from scratch operation , we invest , we have a new stadium and a Club with mediocre history much of which is based on failure.

When you look at it that way, you can see the full direction and vision of Mr Tan.

Slowly breakdown all the bad and rebuild all good to breed success , everything will clearly be broken down and come under the control of Tan and his Empire to breed success in business and on the pitch.

From a neutral non supporting Cardiff City prospective it makes perfect sense. Unfortunately we have no say in matters and have to make a choice , support a new rebranded Club and cheer it to success under a new regime or simply walk away and do something else for our weekly entertainment or football fix , nobody else was prepared to take the Club forward and as the Malaysians are showing will simply do it their way under their control.

Complete Bullshit. Anyone who has ever met or worked with Tan knows that changing us to Red wasn't part of some massive marketing plan to make us huge in Asia, he did it because he could.

Most of the decisions he makes are not part of some "vision" he has, he does them in the spur of the moment usually cos someone's pissed him off by not doing exactly what he wants.

You also clearly don't know anything about the employees either. I don't know why a former furniture salesman means that someone is not qualified enough to be a media manager, seems like a pretty personal attack. Also, you refer to the chief executives fraud charges, I don't think Tan cares about that too much since he appointed Alan Whiteley as Chief Executive himself 7 months after the allegations were made and has kept him at the club as a director. PMG have also never had a say in who becomes Chief Executive of Cardiff.

I'm not hating on Tan just stating facts. I supported the rebrand and still do since its bought in good players and will probabaly get us to the prem. But, Cardiff City is Tan's toy, he'll do whatever he wants with it whenever he wants and and anyway who opposes him will just be replaced with more yes men.

Clearly MWcardiff hasn't gathered his thought to the vision but supports the re brand anyway.

Looking at Carl's update hopefully more can see the vision of a Red New Club being formed.
