Amazing result considering the poor performance

papering over the cracks.

Decent penalty shout from Wednesday but replay shows it was a dive and should have been a yelliw card...
The game continues and Tanner gets an unfortunate free-kick given against him after somr good work...

Well, we pulled that around and came away with a valuable and timely 3 points to hopefulky lighten the mood somewhat...
Sheffield Wednesday tried hard to steal a late penalty through a series of '
dives' but the referee was having none of it...
Great battling Bluebirds...!

A win is a win, but as Footsoldier said earlier it is merely papering over the cracks, after another dismal display. SW are 23rd in the league and outplayed us for most of the game, and I am sorry but Bulut must take the blame for the style of play we are playing. We are so defensive, and it is a worrying thought that this will continue to be our style all season if we keep snatching a result like this, as we also did at Preston. We badly needed Colwill in midfield today, as we had no one else creating anything. Etete looked really up for it when he came on, and like Meite, he had no protection from the consistent fouling by their big centre back, by the very poor referee. Grant looked better when he moved inside and took his goal well. Alnwick was clearly our man of the match, closely followed, I thought, by NG.
Please Erol Bulut be a bit more offensive at home for our Boxing Day fixture on Tuesday, or the home attendances will start dropping rapidly.

Be careful what you say about Rubin!
You’re not allowed to have a good opinion on Rubin, he’s the scapegoat!
