A forum for all things Cardiff City

They can try and change the nickname - it'll never work. Nicknames stick and no amount of fannying about will ever change it.
The Emirates Stadium - will be known for that long after Emirates have pissed off. St James' Park - who actually ever hears it being called by it's new sponsored name? That's just two examples.
The colours may change? There is uproar about that - yet hundreds of folk were quite happy to sport the clubs FORMER colours while protesting against Ridsdale etc. Personally - I don't think they should change but people have to be open to the idea of certain changes. What those changes should be, I don't know. What I do know is people support Cardiff City and the guys who pull on that jersey to represent the City of Cardiff.
We forever talk about how football has changed, and we all know it's not the same game most of us fell in love with. This is clearly another example of that. There will be an interesting few days ahead.

After watching the bluebirds since I was 8 years of age, and I am now 66 years of age, I will tell you what will happen:- when and a big if all the these rumours do happen the majority of supporters will say that's it I'm never going to watch them again, they can have my season ticket back blah de blah, and then when the team under what ever colours are top of the league they will all drift back over the season, it happened when we finished near the bottom of the fourth division, I'm not going again, that's me finished, as soon as we were near the top of the fourth and going for promotion, they all come back over the years.. There's nothing wrong with that, that's human nature. We don't now what's going to happen until it is officially announced.
Sure there will be people who will say I told you so, but a lot of that is guess work, the same as I'm guessing now that it is only hear say, the club have already said there will be no name change, but there could be a colour change, Christ every year the shirt colour changes and we all buy them no matter what they cost.
In 1954 when I first went, the shirts were blue with white sleeves white shorts, with a blue stripe down the shorts, and then they had the horrible shirt with the yellow stripe down the front, now I know there are people who liked that shirt, but time's change and we have to change with it, if we want investment, after all he is the one putting the money in to make it successful, as long as he does it in consultation what's the problem.

It really annoy's when board members have to show their ignorance by swearing or insulting people to get their point across. There is no need to call them slanty eyes. That's insulting, where's your self respect.

And your council should allso stand up and say no to this because what next discounts for asians ..asian food only served..this guy as no love or feelings for u real fans but just wants a toy to play with and to do as he wants.
Feel sory for u lot i have to say as rivalry apart we all love our club and its just a piss take..we had it with petty but some fans got together and stood up to the c**t..good luck and hope to see u olay in blue for a long time to come..f*cking cant stand theses fuckers from other lands changing our history in this country..
This post stood out for me. As soon as there is trouble someone blames the Muslims

What a plastic you are. You are prepared to sacrifice your history and traditions for a bit of glory. Go hang your head in shame.
