However, he added to his comment that we are currently "nowhere near ready" for the Premier League; and even as a loyal Bluebird supporter, I tend to agree...!

Wednesday played the best XI available to them but we should still have had enough...

Disappointing is an understatement and some of those seen today will not be seen again (in a Bluebird shirt, at least)

Glad it was a cup game and not in the league, couple players showed something, youngesters did well that came on too

Buluts comments on Colwill and Robinson seemed harsh when he first arrived, today Rubin did try, done a lot of running and was our best outlet for attack I thought. Robinson on the other hand, a few times took extra touches instead of playing someone in, not sure he made any shots that didn’t dribble along the floor and seemed unable to move up a gear all game.

The fringe players made no names for themselves tonight, Tanner had an ok performance at left back which is nice to see that he’s potentially a break for Collins.

Etete was living off scraps but made 1 or 2 decent half chances himself, similarly could be said about Ashford though he made some good runs and had a one on one he should have buried. Joel looks like a young Ralls to me, or possibly a player similar to Joe Ledley when he played centrally, calm on the ball and seems to be aware of what’s around him, which unfortunately too often tonight was players standing still

Yet another embarrassing Cup defeat by not selecting our best team! Looking back over the last few years we have lost 10 Cup ties by not selecting our best side, we’ve lost to Portsmouth,Northampton twice,Reading,Gillingham,Burton Albion,Bristol Rovers,MK Dons,Shrewsbury,and Macclesfield!
